14. You May Kiss The Bride

"Oh, yes!" the reverend exclaimed, clapping his hands. "Congratulations to our happy couple! I can feel your love flowing thick in the cold night air."

Everyone now turned to look at the reverend with a furrowed brow.

When no one responded, the reverend’s smile faded, and he coughed awkwardly.

"Wow," Jet murmured, rolling his eyes following the awkward silence in the room.

Stone shifted his gaze back to May when he felt her fingers brush against his.

"I can hold it myself, Stone," May said, reaching for the cold towel in his hand.

Stone reluctantly let go but still didn't take his eyes off May. He felt like he would forever be unwilling and unable to look away from her.

"Uhm... So...." The reverend cleared his throat again. "Are we waiting for anyone else? If not, we can start the ceremony."

May stood and placed the ice bag she was holding on the table. She then looked down at her robe.

"Sorry if I am just wearing a bathrobe," she said, her face reddening and her eyes welling up again
