CHAPTER ELEVEN - High Stakes

Lila took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She knew that Alexander was involved in something dangerous, or better yet, something dangerous was about to happen to him, and she couldn't afford to hesitate any longer.

"Okay," she said, her voice firm. "Where do you want to meet?"

"There's a café on 5th and Main," Alexander replied. "I'll be there in half an hour."

Lila hung up the phone and quickly made her way to the café. As she waited, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease settle over her. She didn't know what Alexander was going to tell her, but she knew that it was going to be important.
