Octavia Pov

My

heart broke into pieces seeing what just happened; I walked backward and ran

away from there, tears falling down my face. I did not know where I was running

to, but I just wanted to get away from Alpha Silver and that girl. I continued

running, pushing myself harder to run, then I remembered all the things the

Light Beam Pack told me.

“Your

mate will never love you.”

“If I

were your mate, I would have rejected you on the spot!”

“Look

at you; you are not even beautiful.”

“Oh,

how I pity the person mated to you.”

“Look

at you! Disgusting! Get out of my sight!” I fall on the floor, remembering

those mean words. My mate will never truly love me. I will never be good enough

for anyone. I cried loudly, curling myself into a ball. I thought he would love

me. I thought he accepted me as his mate; I thought he was happy about having

me as his mate; oh, what a fool I have been because, once again, it has been

proven that no one will ever love me.

I hit

my chest, remembering what j
