17. The Invitation

Alcander's POV

"What is the purpose of this meeting?" My father asked impatiently while he wrote something on a piece of paper and I clenched my jaw. The ten other men that were sitting around the table were dead silent.

" 'Tis about lady Mia, who is being forced to marry a man that she does not love," I told him and he looked up at me.

"That does not concern you." He said blankly.

"It does concern me if Mia is involved. We love each other father." I said and he slammed his hand down on the table and the sound echoed throughout the room.

"Then stop loving her! You are about to be crowned as the king of all werewolves. You do not need a weakness, not now. So let her go." He said and I frowned at him.

"That is easy for you to say since you do not love my mother. My love for Mia does not make me weak, love is not a sign of weakness. And until Mia tells me to stop I will not." I said pointedly and my father speechlessly looked at me
