Layla’s POV

Still expecting a kiss from him, immediately a call came in and he helped me up before picking the call and he took steps from me and answered the call at once, his response was just okay, no problem and bye.

He ended the call and we both opened our mouth at the same time to speak and stopped immediately, I don’t really know what he wanted to say but all I wanted to ask is if all is well judging from his response but it will look weird so I just said, “I mean dinner is ready.”

“Okay I will head to the dining room.” He said taking his leave and I was able to breathe properly immediately he left. I need to compose myself and take dinner to him then after which we will both continue our silence way.
