Twenty

I was discharged two days after but not without my doctor confirming I'm perfectly fit to go home. During my stay there, Lexi, Liam, her boyfriend and Alicia, a girl I've been talking to recently, kept my company and of course Ryder too. I was bored during school hours when they all have to leave and when mom has appointments.

I finally had to go home today. My lips curled into a smile when Mom pulled into the driveway. The last time I was in the house was with Ryder. During our alone time.

Dinner that night was one of the best. Mom prepared my favourite meal and Ryder and his father weren't at loggerheads, one of the few times I've seen them sitting together without either of them forfeiting the meal and leaving the table first.
