A sudden noise woke Venus. The girl struggled to open her eyes and flicker at the clock. Eight o'clock at night.
Venus complained and cursed in her heart as she hugged back her bolster pillow. A second later she sat shocked when the door to her room was banged from outside.
“VENUS!”
Venus complained again. That's her father's voice; deep and big. The girl stumbled toward the door to open it.
“What are you doing?!” the father snapped when he saw Venus.
Venus rubbed her eyes while trying to straighten her hair using her hands. The girl scowled resentfully at the sturdy and fierce figure in front of her.
“That question is for you, Dad!” Venus grumbled. “Why the hells wake me up so late at night?”
“Tidy up yourself, change your clothes and sandals then go to my room.”
Her father's flat expression disturbed Venus. Will she be punished for yelling at Sella? However, why should her appearance be so neat?
“Wh—”
“Now!”
The man then left Venus, who was still gaping because her words were interrupted. Venus snorted and slammed the door of her room in annoyance.
Ten minutes later Venus was in her father's room. She deliberately wore black jeans and black boots, and a plain shirt wrapped in a black leather jacket. Don't forget she wears makeup, which, although natural, is still called makeup. The girl was more like an official bodyguard with a small body. Actually, Venus just wants to upset her father because, who the hell is going to change clothes as fancy as it is just to chat with parents at home?
Venus glanced at Sella who was holding her arms while sitting on the edge of the bed, her eyes piercing Venus's eyes. Meanwhile, Venus's father stood next to another door that Venus had just realized. That was definitely not the bathroom door or the door leading to the balcony.
“Do you have a secret room?” Venus asked in surprise.
“No,” her father answered, flatly.
Venus looked at her father fixedly. The man wasn't bothered at all by the makeup of Venus. Venus isn't annoyed, just feels useless.
“So?” This time it was Venus who said in a flat tone. “What does all this mean?”
Venus's father opened the door beside him with a soft jerk. Venus could see nothing in the room. It’s only darkness.
“It's time you found out about this,” said Venus's father, his tone remained as flat as a board. “Come in.”
Venus looked at her stepmother and biological father very suspiciously.
“What room is that?” Venus asked.
“Come in!” Sella barked.
Venus looked at her stepmother with hatred. She really doesn't care if she's gone too far. “I'm not asking you, Witch. Thanks.”
“Shut up!” Venus's father snapped so loudly, while Sella looked angry.
“You shut up!” shouted Venus, feeling unbearable. “What kind of father are you?! You let this woman replace my mother's role in an evil version! You never even care about your own child, do you?”
“I never and never will,” hissed Venus's father coldly. “And, this is the last time you can call me father. I am not your father!”
Venus's face was like slapped by emptiness. She didn't understand the intention of the man, but at the same time understood. The girl struggled with words, whatever. However, what was heard was only the beating of the heart that was pounding in her ears.
Venus walked slowly toward the man. Her legs felt so shaky. She paid close attention to the expression of the person she had always regarded as her father. Clearly he had never joked with Venus before.
“What do you mean?” finally Venus was able to say.
“I told you, don't call me father again! I am not your father!” Bima scolded. His hand suddenly gripped Venus's arm strongly, while his other hand pointed to the darkness. “Your father is in there. I have kept my promise to him, and now I have the right to live in peace. Go wherever you are, because I don't want to see you any longer!”
Bima suddenly pushed Venus's body through the door. Venus didn't understand what he meant until she fell into the dark room. It was like falling into nothingness, with her heart left somewhere. The last thing that Venus witnessed was the relief that shone so clearly on the face of the pusher.
Venus's heart had never felt this painful before.
Venus woke with surprise in the dark. She realized she was floating in a state of standing. Her body seemed to be in bottomless darkness. Venus wanted to cry again, but she thought she had to endure it. Venus is at the neck of death, she can't cry, even when there's nothing to cry about, no matter how hard she feels in her chest. Instead, Venus took a deep breath and exhaled slowly despite shaking. Then, Death embraced her.Venus's neck began to suffocate by the chain of nothingness. At first, sl
Venus woke up as her body slid out of what felt like a sliding tube. Or at least she thought so. Venus stepped on the ground unsteady, and would have fallen down if there were no hands to help her. Venus looked at the ground she was walking on with a happy face.“Wow, I'm not going to die!” said Venus happy while smiling broadly, simplifying the true feeling of her happiness.Venus looked at the white circle where she came out. The glowing circle was now gloomy. Venus looked up and found only darkness. Her eyesight turned to the two people who helped her; a man with a fierce expression and a friendly-faced woman. The woman smiled. Venus had never seen them before.“What is this?” Venus asked doubtfully. “Is this… some kind of new technology that anyone can order?”The fierce man replied rather irritably, “I don't know what you mean! Just for information, this is not your Earth! This is the world of volts, Miss, and now you stand under the Black Porch.”Venus gawk. Which area is it from
A few minutes later they arrived in front of the open black gate. The door is too small compared to the wall, but also larger than the gate in general. In front of that door, stood a short guy with a face like a baby.“Hey, where is the Portal Keeper who is supposed to drop you off?” Lan asked worriedly. The boy slipped his hand in his pants pocket. “His friend who was guarding the portal was in trouble, so he told me to wait here and join other guards if anyone passed,” t
Venus thought they would also be delivered into the building after Meres opened the door. However, it turns out there is someone who has been waiting behind the door to greet, or rather, trying to intimidate them. That person is a middle-aged man with a big and muscular body. His gaze was so cold with his lips that were always puckered. In Venus's eyes, Meres seemed even friendlier than this person.“Is it over?” the man asked Meres in a deep voice.Meres just nodded, and then he left
“Ahem!”Shocked, Venus turned around and saw a burly boy standing beside Virzash. The stranger's face was quite childish, but Venus didn't consider him like a baby at all. His skin is a little dark. Her slightly brown hair was cut in such a way, with a middle part and bangs. As far as Venus is concerned, it was the style of Korean idols on the First Earth. There was a suspicious red stain on the front of his plain white shirt. In essence, that guy already looks cool without having to
Mrs. Mana scans her tablet with concentration, and then starts to call out the names of the new kids randomly. The first kid is called Kirka Sorawa. The girl was small and thin, with a typical freckled face. She walked stumbling and almost tripped on the podium, though Venus estimates that the height of the podium was not until a span. Venus was so tense, that even her scalp felt itchy. It is really annoying.“Stand in the center, darling,” said Mrs. Mana pretentiously sweet.Kirka ne
Virzash walked with quick steps, accompanied by the eyes of the krona who almost all looked worried. His face turned red. What is this?“Is that weird? A Double Talent?” Venus immediately asked as soon as Virzash arrived in his chair.Virzash scratched his ears while leani
Venus remembers when she came down from the podium, after Mrs. Mana announced trembling that she was a Bizura, everything in the large room became very quiet. The views of the other students really made the girl shiver. They looked at her with eyes as if she were a grim reaper in the form of a giant scorpion. There is a great deal of fear and anxiety in their gaze, but what makes Venus most afraid is a look of hatred that is not clearly stated by them. The hatred is covered by fear, but you can feel it clearly in the air.Venus walked with the steps she tried to keep calm. However, the air seemed to force her to stop and hide. The gazes of hundreds of students an
