FOUR

The car stopped with a screeching sound as it got muffled in the harsh noises of ambulance sirens. The guards came out hurriedly as one of them open the door for him while other tried to make a way through the entrance.

Gareth came out of the car as his coat was left behind in the seat. His sleeves were folded upwards till his elbows as he let out a frustrated sigh sensing people stares at him. Everyone was looking at him in awe as some forgot why they were in the hospital for his dominant aura.

He was used to these stares as they didn't affect him, not anymore. He was frustrated of leaving all his work behind just for someone's stupid mistake of driving. He took all the information from that man as he knew Emir would take care of everything else but still he had his way of supervising things.

He never liked family ties as he don't get why when someone got into an accident or any other problem the people call their family. They should call the person who is closed to them but again how could an unconscious person ask them to call that specific person. At least he knew he wasn't there on someone's special request. The hospital must have asked for him, he couldn't.

"Just do the essential paperwork and hospital bills. I don't have f*cking time for this." He said to one of his guards as his black eyes were scrutinized in a thoughtful manner.

The nurse guided them towards the doctor's room as Dr Kennedy was standing outside his room already waiting for him. Protocol! The doctor forwarded his hand to shake with him with a smile on his face but instead of him, one of his guards shook hands, much to doctor's disappointment.

"Please." The doctor guided as only one guard went inside with him.

"Would you like to have some t..."

"How much is the bill?" Dr Kennedy was saying when the guard interrupted him with a stoic face.

"We have to do an operation. His situation is critical Mr Blade. Right now we are doing several tests on..."

"How does it happen?" Gareth spoke for the first time as showing he hadn't any interest in his condition.

"Sir your brother as..."

"Step-Brother." Gareth clenched his jaw as the Dr Kennedy gulped getting affected by his glare, without any emotions in them as he was a doctor and he was very much aware that stone hearted emotionless people are far more ruthless not to others but to their own self too.

"Your step brother was brought here by two women as they got in his path. We have CCTV footage." He tried his best to cut short his conversation seeing his expressionless face. It was evident he hadn't any interest in his step-brother's health.

One of the nurses came forward to show them the footage as Gareth took the tab from her hand to look at the black and white footage. His gaze was scrutinized as after few seconds his lips twitched from a side as something amused him. "The bastard didn't know how to drive."

Doctor and nurses just looked at the cold-hearted person who was amused by his brother's driving skill rather than getting anxious about his severe condition. They shook their head in disappointment when he zoom the screen only his mused smile to vanish.

"Co-incidence or not." He muttered to himself in a whisper as a devilish smirk captured his plum lips.

"Bring these women." He toppled over the tab onto the table ordering the nurse as he abruptly went out followed by the Dr, challenging his luck when he asked.

"These women aren't at fault fully a-and it was night..." He was saying when Gareth's glare shut him up. Gareth wouldn't have any difficulty in buying the hospital and then treat him like an animal. He shouldn't interfere more, knowing he couldn't do anything.

Gareth fingers were drumming the arm of the chair in a slow menacing manner. He never believed in coincidences but he had a firm belief on himself as he would never let anyone to harm one most important thing in his life and that was his business reputation. He was thought only one thing in his life and that was the worth of money. He used to spend his money on the things that deserved it. He had removed all the hurdles before, so he wouldn't find difficulty in doing that again.

He knew people who used other people secrets to make their way and a huge amount of money was enough to shut them up. But in this case he was actually capable of taking anyone's life in the name of karma and those brown eyes should be punished of seeing something of which she didn't have a right.

Soon the door opened letting the sound of busy life of hospital in the room. Gareth looked back when the sounds halted due to the closing of sound proof doors and his smirk grew when his eyes landed directly on the girl who forgot to breathe seeing him.

Ava couldn't tell if she was breathing or not as she was glad that Aunt Samiya took her hand in her to make her sit her on the couch when doctor asked her to out of respect.

There was a deadly silence in the room or Ava's ears weren't working. Her senses were betraying her as fear invaded her nerves. She was looking everywhere but in the midnight eyes staring at her with coldness in them.

"...I would leave you to settle down this." Dr Kennedy said as he went out along-with the nurse leaving them behind.

"Ahm..." Aunt Samiya tried to start the conversation as she continued saying. "I am very sad of what happened and we are sorry. It was an accident." Aunt Samiya said as Ava was sitting beside her like she wanted to vanish from there.

She few hours ago saw these men killing someone. She couldn't act normally even after trying to control her nerves.

"But this potage is evidence of you coming in front of the car deliberately." His gruff voice echoed in the room making Ava to look at him who was staring at her Aunt when he added. "You have to go to jail. The court will decide the rest of the things." His face was expressionless but Ava felt mirth in his eyes.

"C-court?" They both startled as they didn't know that this case was this much serious. "But sir we are apologizing and we can't..." They felt their throat dry as Ava held Aunt's hand firmly, everything was getting worse.

"The guy in the car is dying right now. How do you want to negotiate?" He said as he intertwined his fingers while leaning forward a little. His whole attention was on Aunt Samiya but still she was feeling like he was looking at her.

May be he doesn't recognize me? It was dark in the alley.

But his guards saw me indisputably and if I could see him in the car then he can recognize me too.

"But we do have another option here." Her mind was in chaos when his voice reached her ears again.

"W-what?" Aunt asked as he smirked for the first time.

"You almost killed him so I would take your..." He prolonged the word your as he glanced at Ava for a millisecond. "...girl." Ava's breath hitched as she snuggled into aunt more mumbling no near her ear.

"No I can't..."

"Okay fine then we should solve this in court." Gareth said standing up as if he didn't have time to waste more with them. The guard moved forward and opened the door for him and the annoying sounds made their way inside.

"No." Aunt Samiya said as if she went to court then everyone in her household would get to know this and things would get worse, even more.

Gareth stopped as he quirked an eyebrow at her waiting for her answer. Ava stood with her aunt as her heart was pounding inside her chest.

"Please don't do this to us. I can't give you my Ava like this. It's a s-sin. We will try to give you mon..." Aunt Samiya said as Ava's eyes filled with tears making her vision blurry.

"Sin?" Gareth chuckled as if he couldn't believe what he heard. He looked at his guard in amusement who smiled back at him as he knew his boss was known as a sinner.

"Okay if it's a sin then I would marry her and when Zyair would get heal you can take her back." He was saying as if he wasn't talking about a girl but a useless thing that hadn't any value.

Ava was just looked at him stunned by his words as he decided the biggest decision of her marriage in just a mere second. He was ruthless man who didn't have any feelings. He should be praying for his relative in the intensive care unit but here he was dealing with people lives.

"Fine." Ava's head shot up to Aunt as she took two steps back from her looking at her unbelievably. She never thought that Aunt Samiya would say yes to this ruthless man.

"A-aunt..." Ava's voice cracked as she called her.

"Get the papers ready." Gareth said to his guard as he was stunned at first but then immediately bowed his head after earning a glare from Gareth. "Meeting you in a few hours." Gareth said as he dialled a number on his phone and went out.

"A-aunt...y-you..." Ava was moving backwards as Aunt Samiya hold her hand to make her stop.

"No...no...I love you okay but we don't have any other choice here. And he himself said that I can take you back when that man what was his name yeah Zyair becomes healthy again. I will pray for it. He will be okay soon and I would take you back." Aunt Samiya cooed her as her lower chin started wobbling.

"...we left your house for my admission..." Her voice was cracking as Aunt Samiya hugged her shivering form.

"I know every dream can't come true Ava. I can't tell this to Smith" Aunt said wiping the lone tear falling down her cheeks. They wouldn't survive once they will be flaunted in the court. Moreover, Smith would react horribly about what she didn't want to think about.

"B-but that was my only dream..." Ava said as she hugged her back. Her only dream was to get into the medical college. She never dreamt of fancy clothes or a fancy household like most teenagers and her only dream was shattered into pieces in front of her.

Seconds passed like hours and in every second she thought of running away from there but she couldn't leave her Aunt in all this. Moreover, she didn't have any place to go.

The same guard came inside the room with a red file in his hands as they both startled with their erratic heart beats.

"You have to sign it here." He said monotonously as Ava looked at her Aunt who wasn't meeting her eyes then at the marriage contract in front of her. The guard was standing in front of her with a pen in his hand which he forwarded for her to hold.

She hold the pen in a slowly manner as the guard looked at her with sympathy but he himself was also aware of the fact that the girl wasn't supposed to see what she did. She had to bear the consequences. That was their law. A Mafia Rule.

She looked at the bold letters marriage. She was marrying to someone but that wasn't a normal marriage like every other thing in her life. She didn't have a normal family, not even a normal school life and now marriage was also getting into the list.

Her hands were shivering when he touched the tip of the pen and then sign it to close her eyes shut engulfing the horrible reality that she just signed.

"Congratulations you are Mrs Gareth Blade from today." The guard said and she never wanted to open her eyes after hearing that.

Mrs Gareth Blade.
