The journey was longer than Emberlynn would have imagined. It had been four days on the road. She had never journeyed for four days before, and it was strange that she preferred it.

Damien's pack house was farther away, and he wouldn't be able to reach her. That was if he desired to in the first place because he had shown no sign of interest.

Even when he had declined for her to leave with Lucian in the first place, Emberlynn was sure it was because he wanted to punish her himself.

Lucian stopped by a large gate that opened by itself. Striding in, he stopped, and she climbed down from his back.

As soon as she did, Emberlynn gasped, and her eyes widened as ten women ran forward, bearing duvets in their hands, and they wrapped it around Lucian's wolf while nudging her out of the way.

"What the hell is happening?" she questioned as she saw light.

It was barely up to a minute when Lucian emerged, wearing a different cloth entirely from the one she had often seen him in.
