Chapter 22

Sarah's POV

I stood by the door of his office, taking a few deep breaths, before holding on to the door knob then opening the door as I stepped in, his office was cold, with the air conditioning really high.

I approached his table with mixed feelings, what if I get fired? But why would I? It's not like I was doing something wrong? So there is no justification to have me fired.

He still with his gaze fixed on me without uttering a word to me, I was beginning to get uncomfortable with the way he stared at me, my knees were the first to give up as they shivered.

“Sir? You called me?”

I said to him, trying to remind him the reason I was here in his office but instead he didn't say anything, he just looked at me. To be honest, it was beginning to creep me out.

The room suddenly became quiet, and only the sound of the cars and horns outside could be heard, at least that was better than a formidable silence where nobody spoke to each other.
