148. Dry Me

Elysia's pov

As I walk out of the room and head downstairs to meet Damon and his father, I can feel his father's cold glare burning into my back. Damon, on the other hand, looks excited and pleased with himself. As I approach them, I see Helen taking her time to walk down the stairs and join us.

As we walk them outside and wave goodbye, I turn to head back to the room. However, Damon grabs my hand, giggling devilishly. "What is it?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

Damon leans in, a mischievous look in his eyes. "I can't wait to see the look on her face when she announces her resignation," he says, chuckling.

I froze as Damon held my hand and led me towards his bedroom, his devilish grin sending shivers down my spine. Once we were inside, he turned to face me and asked what I remembered. I pleaded with him, telling him that I didn't remember much, only a glimpse of his mother tearing my dress.
