Eighty-first Run

"Did your house used to be near here?" Brandon asked as he looked at the reflection of Jarvis and Liam in the rear view mirror.

Liam stopped for a moment and nodded slowly. "Yeah, it's close. Why?"

Brandon didn't speak immediately, but Liam already had a feeling why Brandon was asking this.

Don't tell him that he wanted to go there?

Liam winced. He knew that their house didn't look good back then.

"Are there many people living in the part where you used to live?" Brandon asked out of the blue.

Liam also shook his head gently. "No. As far as I remember, there weren't many people there. That's because that place was not a good place to live. It wasn't accessible to other necessities of life." Liam's eyes narrowed. "So, why are you asking?"

Brandon chuckled. "Nothing. I just want to see that," he said, then turned around with a wide smile on his lips.

Liam stopped, stared at Brandon even though he had turned his back on him, and continued driving.

"Huh? Do you have to..."

"Big brother."
