A Love That Stopped Loving

I have not spoken to Tyler since yesterday since we brought him home from the hospital. When I wake up this morning, he is still fast asleep, so I make my way down to the kitchen, where I decide to phone Sandra.

"Morning, Sandra."

"Morning, sweety. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, better than I have in a while."

But she knows me all too well and knows that I am hiding something behind my trembling voice.

"What is wrong, Jenna?"

"Sandra, maybe I am not the right person for Tyler. I don't want to hurt him, but I think that maybe it is better that I leave him. I need to push him away."
