Chapter 7, V for valor

Serena’s POV:

My night class surprisingly ensued in time tonight. Mr Quinn had some urgency of some sort at home. “Are you gonna dye your hair back to black”, Benita sits on a rotating bar stool, as I lay hopelessly on the flour drained of energy. Worse of all our air-conditioning is damaged and the handyman won't be here for the next two days. We're both on our inner, the heatwave is milking us both.

“It's not a big deal either way, I think it's about time I did something different with my hair”

“You’re mixed right”, I raised my head to give Benita a disgusted expression. We’ve been friends for over five years Benita, and you’re asking me this? Nah, she’s pulling my legs.

“Really girl”?

“Oh!”, coming to her senses, “my bad”

“Hmm hmm”, sigh

“Haven’t heard from Vincent. Heard is out sick”

“No calls from him either”?, I nodded my head.

“Don’t even know how to feel about that”

“I’m sure he’s alive, and probably still breathing”
