My eyes suddenly became teary as the table had indeed been cleaned up and there was nothing left for me. Sadness filled my heart immediately. The pain worsened and I felt so disappointed in myself. Maybe I should not have been rude to him?

I shove the thoughts aside and tried to locate the kitchen instead. After a few minutes of wandering and hiding, I was finally able to locate it and to my satisfaction, it was not locked.

I had to sustain myself no matter what the consequences would be so like a thief, I sneaked into the kitchen and thankfully, there was no one in there.
