DO YOU LOVE ME? (THREE)

"Edna, are you gonna leave?"

Edna glanced at the little girl next to her while putting her few belongings into her small duffel bag.

"That kindhearted man has adopted me Sasha, so I have to go."

Edna was seen walking here and there to put some of her belongings that were still left in her room. All of these items were the only valuables that her parents had ever given her. Unfortunately, the accident took her father away, so for the past few years she has had to find it difficult to live in an orphanage.

Sometimes she feels angry with God because He steadfastly took all her happiness and also the only family she has. When she was two years old her mother went out with another man she didn't know at all. Her father had always told her the truth that her mother had indeed left them for another man. And luckily a girl her age understood that, so she never brought up her mother again in front of her father. It's just that sometimes she also wants to feel how complete family affection is. Her mother left when she couldn't feel what love was, and when she was in elementary school, she began to feel jealous of her friends who had complete families.

Then misfortune began to befall her again. One night that gripped the police suddenly came to her house and said that her father had died. At that time she was as if she had been stung by thousands of volts of electricity, her whole body felt stiff and she could do nothing but cry in Claire’s arm, her household assistant who had always been there to accompany her at home.

Unfortunately after her father died she could not accompany her because  Claire to returned to her hometown. The police put her in a small orphanage on the edge of town. At one point it occurred to her if the police intended to throw her away. But in the end she tries to accept all her fate and adapt to her new harsh environment.

Four years in the orphanage, made Edna feel that her life is really hard. Whenever she wanted something, she couldn't get it right away like she used to. She had to endure this desire for months until a kind donor arrived who would donate a little of their money for the life of the orphanage children. And usually when she has got the money, then the goods she wants have been bought by other people. So in the end she was only able to endure her heartbreak as she sobbed in her dark room.

But all the sadness just evaporated after she got the good news about a new family that would adopt her. She really had forgotten all her dark, bitter times, and right now she was just busy imagining the future that would soon pick her up.

"If you go, then what about me?" asked Sasha sadly.

The little girl sat languidly on the shabby cotton mattress belonging to Edna while shaking her legs slowly. So far, she only has Edna as the only friend who understands her. If Edna goes out with her new family, then what will happen to her?

“I'm sorry Sasha, I really have to go. Join with the others, they will definitely accept you as well as me."

“But they are never as good as you Edna. Do not go." Sasha said softly. The girl almost took out the clear beads from her eyelids before the mother suddenly came and told Edna to come out immediately.

"Edna, Mr. Grishold is waiting for you up front."

"Fine mother, I will say goodbye to Sasha first." Edna said in a heavy tone while glancing at Sasha sadly.

To be honest she also felt hard to lose Sasha, but this was the only chance she could experience a better life outside the home. Her life in an orphanage clearly will not be able to lead her to become a successful Edna Morel because in reality they all always live in deprivation. With a heavy heart, she really had to leave Sasha to get a better life with Mr. Grishold, her adoptive father.

"See you Sasha. Hopefully we can meet again."

Edna hugged Sasha's body briefly and immediately walked away leaving Sasha who was still numbling in her room, but she had no other choice but to continue walking straight while hardening her heart so that she wouldn't be tempted to turn around and hug Sasha's little body who was still choking.

"Edna, are you ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

Edna answered firmly while showing her sweet smile at her new father who was standing in the doorway. The man in the suit looked arrogant with black glasses that framed his sharp eyes. However, that did not make Edna hesitate to walk following Acelon to the black sedan that had been waiting for them in the front yard of the orphanage.

When she started to get into the car, all her friends began to boisterously say goodbye to her while waving their hands repeatedly. With a sad face, Edna just stared at it all silently without being able to return the wave of their hands because the windshield beside her couldn't be opened at all.

"How do I open this? I want to say goodbye to them one last time." Edna asked with a sad face. She repeatedly tried to press the black button next to her, but the button seemed not to work and was just a decoration for the car. As for Acelon, he had been just staring straight ahead without the slightest heeding Edna who looked restless beside him.

"They are not visible, it's useless if you open the window." Acelon replied coldly while looking forward. Edna then lowered her head sadly while wringing her hands nervously. This was not the beginning she had hoped for. She wanted to get to know her adoptive father well and have a good grip like a happy family. But seeing Acelon who is very cold like that, made Edna hesitated and chose to comfort her heart by seeing the beautiful scenery presented on her right side.

"Do not expect too much."

Edna reflexively turned her head while looking at Acelon in a daze.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not your father." Acelon replied curtly. Truly it was the most ridiculous call he had ever heard in his life.

"Then, who should I call you?" Edna asked in fear with a trembling voice. For the first time, Acelon stared at her two caramel beads intensely while grinning slyly at the innocent girl.

“Don't ever call me anything. And don't ever expect too much of me."

Edna opened her eyes slowly while imagining her very terrible dream. Her first meeting with Acelon and the first time she became a part of that jerk. He really hated it that it became a nightmare for him whenever he felt depressed or felt so angry at the bastard guy who was currently sitting relaxed on the black sofa in his room.

"You're awake..."

Acelon made that statement while sipping his wine slowly. The man was seen powerfully observing Edna while showing a brown light from his eyes which was hit by the moonlight from the large window at the end of the room. Seeing Acelon who was still in her room, made Edna snorted in annoyance as she got up to stand up to put back on her nightgown which Acelon had thrown away before they made love.

"Go, you've got what you want," said Edna harshly.

Edna continued to use her nightgown until suddenly a hand stroked her naked back and began to slowly raise the zipper of her nightgown.

"Don't hesitate to ask for help, Edna."

"I can do it myself without your help." Edna hissed sharply. She removed Acelon's hand from her body and immediately walked away to her comfortable bed.

"Arrogant and stubborn.... be careful Edna, because those two traits can destroy you slowly."

"Huh, really? I just felt the opposite." From the bed she stared at Acelon fiercely while clenching her hands under the blanket. “Those are protecting me right now. My innocence and kindness are often used by bad people out there."

"Who? You never told me? If you say it, I can destroy the people who have hurt you easily.”

Edna laughed dryly on the bed while turning her back on Acelon. It turned out that the man was stupid enough to realize that the bad person she was referring to was the man himself. Acelon Grishold was indeed a man who was blind according to Edna. When he has done many mistakes to Edna, he always blames others and destroys other people who he thinks are the party who hurt Edna.

"Come out, I want to sleep."

Edna again drove Acelon away while staring at the dark scenery in her room. To be honest she wasn't sleepy at all. She just wanted him to go away and leave her alone here to think. There were a lot of problems in her mind, which she wanted to solve immediately. Having Acelon in her room obviously made all her senses disappear because she had been holding back all her anger for that man.

“Andrew called you. I told him you were sleeping. Are you currently choosing to have a serious relationship with him?”

"Why do you want to know? That's my business. Don't do anything to Andrew, he's a nice guy."

"Hmm, if he doesn't mess with you, I won't hurt him."

"Why do you always limit my movement with my lovers? I've never even restricted you from going out with any woman,” said Edna flatly.

At this moment her heart really felt tight. She felt Acelon's attitude was too confusing for her. That man always forbade her to be close to the jerk men out there, even he did not hesitate to do dirty things to teach the bastard men a lesson. But on the one hand she always wondered, why would Acelon do that to her if he didn't have any feelings for her at all?

"It's different, you are an innocent woman who can't tell which is a jerk and which is a good man."

"Do you think you are not one of them, the bastard who has the heart to fuck his own adopted daughter." Still turning her back to Acelon, Edna seemed to pant while catching her breath because she was too emotional with Acelon's attitude that always confused her.

"I never considered you as my daughter Edna, you yourself have concluded it since the first time I picked you up at the orphanage."

Edna seemed silent. She no longer responded to Acelon's words and chose to close her eyes. It was useless for her to reply to every word that man said if in fact he always had a thousand and one answers to reverse her answers.

"I know you haven't slept."

“Then what do you expect from me if I haven't slept yet. You want to start an argument with me?” Edna asked fiercely. The brown-eyed man had really tested her patience tonight.

“If from the beginning you didn't intend to be my adoptive father, then why did you adopt me? You make me hope for more for my future, but in fact, it's precisely this kind of life that I get."

"You will find out one day. Sleep Edna, I think you should really rest your chaotic mind."

Acelon casually strolled away, leaving his wine bottle which was still half of it in Edna's room while wearing his night robe to wrap his sturdy body. Tonight he is completely satisfied with his hot game with Edna. She always manages to give off a sensation that's different from those cheap bitches out there. And Edna is not a bitch, so that woman clearly has a different taste from all of them.

"Acelon..."

Acelon raised his eyebrows briefly and decided to stop at the doorway. Without looking back, the man waited for Edna to finish her sentence which sounded like it was hanging in the air.

"Do you love me?"
