Chapter 89

Annie’s friends were all wishing they were the one. They couldn't take their eyes off Annie. They wanted to see her answer the phone.

But even Annie didn't trust Alex’s call. She knew something must have happened for him to be calling her, and she couldn't risk taking it in front of her friends.

“I will just have to take this in the car since I wouldn't like to make any of you jealous.” Annie pretended to be teasing them and excused herself.

Her gullible friends who didn't notice anything believed her, and Annie left.

“Young master Alex.” She called out in her babysit voice immediately after she picked up the call.

“I will only ask you this once and I want nothing but the truth,” Alex responded.

He ignored all the drama and pretense she was putting on to get to him and went straight to the point.

Annie was shivering a bit. She didn't know what this was all about but her mind was going somewhere.
