Marrissa's point of view

“Marissa!” Molly screamed, her voice loud and full of excitement as usual, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw me. She froze for a second. “Whoa. You look absolutely beautiful! Damn, I almost could not recognize you.”

“Oh, stop it, Mol,” I said, trying to wave her off, though I could feel the blush creeping up my neck.

She was not done, of course. Her gaze shifted, and she immediately locked eyes on Jason, who was standing by the side with a faint, amused smile. Molly’s eyed me, curiosity written on her face.

“Oh, Mol, this is Jason,” I said quickly, gesturing toward him. “My childhood friend, Jason.”

Her eyebrows shot up, and before I could stop her, she blurted out, “Jason? Like Jason? The one you used to have a crush on?”

I felt my stomach drop. “God, Molly!” I hissed, feeling the heat spread to my face. I wanted to disappear right then and there. Trust Molly to say whatever pops into her head.

I shot her a deadly glare, but she just laughed loudly, cl

Marrissa's point of view I turned to walk the other way, but Farrow was there again, stepping into my path like she had been waiting for this moment all her life. That stupid smile of hers stretched across her face, triumphant and taunting, like she had just won an award.“If you have got something to say, then spill it out,” I snapped. “Stop wasting my time.”Farrow folded her arms, bringing her head closer to me as she slowly looked at me, from the top of my head to my shoes, taking her time as if she wanted me to feel every second of her judgment.“Are you done?” I asked, my tone clipped. “Good. Now get the hell out of my way.”“You do look a little more... human, I must say.” Her smirk widened. “Amazing what money can do—it makes even rags look brand new.”I froze for a moment, trying to keep my composure. “Excuse you?”“Oh, do not act surprised,” she said, her voice syrupy with mockery. “Isn’t that what all this is about? Trying to get a taste of the Thornhill fortune?”“You m

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    The wedding ceremony

Morgan's point of view I forced my legs to move, each step feeling heavier than the last. My hands trembled at my sides, but I refused to let them clench into my fists, no matter how badly I wanted to hit something—or someone. The hardest part, though, was holding my tongue, keeping all the venomous words racing in my mind, locked behind my teeth. I could not afford to lose control. Not yet. Not here.Farrow stopped a few steps ahead, sensing my presence. She turned to face me, her lips curving into that sly, seducing smile she always wore when she thought she was in control. Her eyes danced with the confidence of someone who believed she had already won.“What’s your next plan now, Morgan?” she asked, her tone as casual as if we were discussing the weather. “What do you mean?” I replied evenly. “Going on with the wedding, of course.”Her expression twisted, disbelief spreading across her face. “What? You are still going to marry that whore?” she spat the word like poison, her voic

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Going Home

Marrissa's point of view I watched Morgan walk away, his shoulders so stiff , his face tense and I just could not hold back my tears anymore. They flowed freely now, no longer restrained by the false composure I had worn all day. But it was not just the fact that he was leaving me behind that broke me—it was how he left. Even when he was beside me, he felt distant. His voice when saying the vows had been so strained, like he was forcing the words iut of his mouth, the words were so cold. The way his eyes had looked at me when he lifted my veil—it was so full of disgust, and calling me a shameless whore broke me into many pieces. If only he would listen. Just listen to my explanation. But Morgan Thornhill was definitely not the kind of man who entertained explanations.“Well, Marissa,” you need to make him hear you,” my inner voice whispered.I swallowed hard and nodded to myself. Yes, I needed to find a way. No matter how impossible it seemed, I had to get through to him. “Mad

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Hoping this will fix everything

Marrissa's point of view A thought suddenly crossed my mind, and I hurried downstairs, my heart beating with urgency.I could not afford to waste any time, though the dimly lit corridors of the house seemed to conspire against me. Twice, I ended up in the wrong hallway, frustration bubbling up with every wrong turn. “Where is it?” I whispered under my breath, turning another corner only to see the same ornate painting for the third time. “What the hell?” I almost screamed loudly.“Madam?” I turned to see Clara, the head maid, standing a few feet away. Her stern but kind face softened as she saw my frustrated look. “Thank God,” I sighed, walking up to her. “Clara, I need your help.” “With what?” she asked, her brows knitting together. “Should you not be resting, Madam?” “I can not rest right now,” I said quickly. “I have a plan. Something important.” I hesitated for a moment, then said, “I want to cook dinner for Morgan.” Her eyes widened. “Cook dinner?” she repeated, as

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My accomplice and I

Farrow’s point of view “Oh, what a day!” I exclaimed, stretching lazily on the soft, luxurious couch in my bedroom. It was so comfortable that I almost sank into it completely, feeling its warmth against my skin. I deserved this moment—this peace after such a fulfilling day.“Will you be careful?” I snapped suddenly, glaring down at the maid massaging my feet. Without thinking twice, I shoved her back. She gasped, recoiling in fright, her hands trembling as though she had been burned.I watched her cower, her small frame practically folding into itself, and I felt a twinge of satisfaction. She had done nothing wrong—she had been as careful and precise as always. But I enjoyed the sight of people cowering before me, their faces tightening with fear. I chuckled, a dark, wicked sound that echoed around the room like a bell tolling doom. But it was not the maid that had me in such a good mood. No, my laughter was for something far sweeter: Marrissa’s face. The memory of it lit up my mind

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    My House,my Rules

Morgan's point of view “Morgan, this… this is not exactly what happened,” Marrissa stammered, her voice shaking as she watched the video on my phone. She looked at me, searching for some hint of understanding, some way to reach me.I leaned back on my table, crossing my arms. “Really?” I said, my tone sharp. “Then why don’t you enlighten me, Marrissa? Tell me how it happened.” My voice was cold, filled with disgust. She could see it in my face, feel it.“For one,” she started, her voice trembling, “Farrow hit me first. I diid not do anything to her. She… she was saying all these horrible things about me. She said I was trying to seduce you for your wealth, Morgan! I could.not take it. I—”I did not care what she said. Her excuses, her desperate attempt to turn the truth—it all fell on deaf ears. Her voice became background noise. I was not interested in her lies. I sat there, letting her words wash over me, unbothered, unmoved. When she finally stopped talking, her chest rising and fa

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Playing his game

Marrissa's point of view The cold sunk deep into my skin, making me shiver as I leaned back against the rough stone wall of the estate. My hands were trembling, though I was not sure if it was from the cold or the whirlwind of emotions that had been churning inside me since Morgan shoved me out like I was nothing. Like I was a nobody. The night had been unkind, leaving me restless on the cold, hard ground. Sleep had practically ran away from me, no matter how tightly I wrapped my arms around myself in a desperate attempt to find some warmth, the cold enveloped me like a blanket.God , how I hate this man, I suddenly missed by small apartment and most of all my wornout bed. It was must better than this.“Good morning, madam,” a voice greeted.Startled, I turned to see a young maid standing a few feet away, her head bowed respectfully. “Good morning,” I replied hoarsely, straightening myself. “How are you doing?” “I’m fine, madam” she said, her voice timid. Her eyes remained fixe

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Seeking Comfort

Marrissa's point of view The cab moved gently, the city lights flickering through the window as I wiped yet another tear from my cheek. My throat was raw from crying, but I could not stop. The weight of everything felt suffocating, like a slow, strong tide pulling me under. My hands trembled in my lap, clutching my bag tightly, as if holding onto it could somehow hold me together. I was on my way to Molly's apartment. She was the only one I could think of—the only person who could make sense of the mess my life had become. I did not even know if shw would be home, but I had no one else. The cab came to a stop, and I stared at Molly’s house for a moment, trying to summon the strength to get out. My legs felt like jelly as I stepped onto the pavement and walked to her door. My fingers moved over the wood for a second before I knocked, each knock on the door carrying the last bit of strength I had. The door opened, Molly came out, looking confused and worried. "Marrissa? What ar

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Isolation

Morgan's point of view To think that I had not gotten any sleep for the past three days might shock you, but that was the damn truth. The weight of the project had been pressing on my shoulders. I crave perfection for this project, that has been consuming my every thought. After the meeting with my employee, and I was left alone in my office, I checked every blueprints again, I needed more. It was not yet perfect, not perfect enough to be at Jack stone and to win the WBA. I needed to look deeper, to think deeper and to create something better. There must not be a single mistake, not a single loophole that could make me lose. It had to be so good that even the judges would acknowledge it. And to do that, I had to be alone. I had to be away from all forms of distractions. No interruptions from my father. No unwanted opinions from Marrissa and no one breathing down my neck. So, I made the call. Within two hours, my private jet was ready, and I left without looking back. The fli

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Scared and worried

Farrow’s point of view By the time my brain registered what was going on, I ran to the parking lot, I opened my car and threw myself inside. The fear inside of me can not be described in words."Take me to the hospital. Now," I ordered, my voice filled with panic. "Yes, ma’am," the driver replied, starting the engine without wasting a second. As we sped off, my mind was in chaos, so many thoughts troubled me. What if something happened to Dad? What would I do? I knew nothing about the business. I know nothing about his friends or his s associates, no one to turn to. If my plan with Morgan had worked, at least I would not be this worried, at least I would have had someone to rely on. But now, I have no one at all? I shivered in panic, my nails digging into my palms. I tried not to cry. Not here. Not yet. The driver kept looking at me through the rearview mirror, his eyes filled with concern or pity, I didn't know which."Will you watch the damn road?" I snapped, my voice sou

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A fucking mistake

Farrow’s point of view For two whole days, I had locked myself in my room. Two fucking days of nothing but crying, smoking, and drinking myself to numb. The air in my room was thick with the scent of stale cigarettes and spilled wine, I had drawn the curtains so tight that not a single sliver of light came in.I had not eaten. I had not bathed. I had not even brushed my damn teeth.I just wanted to disappear. Not die. No—death was too scary. But I wanted the world to stop for just a moment, to suffocate under the weight of my own misery until I could breathe again.Everything I had worked for has gone down the drain before my very eyes.Every single step, every carefully crafted plan, every dollar spent all of it gone because of her.Glow.My blood boiled at the very thought of her name. I never would have guessed she would do this to me, not even thought she had the guts.I slowly breathe in and out, the cigarette burning between my fingers, another bottle of wine half gone already.

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    More into the evening

Marrissa's point of view Jack, still holding my hand, led us to a private booth near the back of the lounge, a well hidden spot where the noise was softer. The moment we sat down, he flagged a waiter with a casual wave of his hand. "One of your finest wines," he said, he did not even glance at the menu and I was grateful, I was already filled with dinner I had with Jason. The waiter nodded and disappeared. Jack leaned back against the seat, rolling his shoulders as if trying to shake off the weight of the world. "So," he said, looking at me, "how have you been?" "I'm fine," I replied, settling in. "And you?" He sighed, rubbing his temple. "Far from fine. Work has been a nightmare, especially with the WBA coming up." I nodded. The “Worldwide Business Awards” I echoed, the biggest event in the world of industry, a make-or-break moment for some companies. It was no surprise it had him on edge. "You do know about the WBA, right?" he asked. "Of course," I said. "It's all

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A night of unexpected turn

Marrissa's point of view “What nonsense!” I spat angrily, stomping out of Morgan’s office, making sure to bang his door making a huge noise as I did. The man annoyed me to my bones. Every time he opened his mouth, it was to dictate, command, or lecture me, as if my life belonged to him. He took every opportunity to boss me around, suffocating me with his arrogant attitude. The more I thought about everything he had done to me since the day we met, the more my anger flared up. I clenched my fist as I walked down the corridor to my office.By the time I reached my office, I had to breathe in and out to compose myself. I still had work to do. No matter how much Morgan irritated me, I would not let him distract me from my responsibilities. Settling at my desk, I opened my laptop. During the meeting earlier, I had noticed flaws in our presentation. I did not say anything yet because I was not really certain, but I had marked the error , determined to review them at home. I wanted to

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    The pressure of perfection

Morgan's point of view How the ffuck did I miss this? I said, sighing deeply. The warning in my dad's words was very clear. I must not make any mistakes, and yet I almost did already.I moved my chair forward, flipping open my laptop with a sense of urgency. My fingers flew over the keyboard as I went through my emails, my heart tightening with every second that passed. And there it was. Sitting right there in my inbox. Unopened, of course .I cursed under my breath, shaking my head in frustration. If Dad had not called, I would have completely overlooked it. What the hell have I been doing? How had I been so distracted? Oh, right. Farrow. Glow. Marrissa. The never-ending chaos that had consumed my life lately. But this? This is something I can not afford to screw up. Must not.I clicked on the email and quickly scanned through it. Subject: Invitation to the 15th Annual World Business Awards (WBA) Dear Mr. Thornhill, We are pleased to invite you to the 15th Annual Wor

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Almost missed it

Morgan's point of view I placed my hands inside my pockets, leaning slightly against my door as I watched Mr. Hudson. His face was set in a hard, unreadable expression. The silence between us increased and it only made me more angry. I waited for his response. Then, he finally spoke. "Do you think paying someone to tarnish my daughter's image will set you free?" His voice was low but it did not hide the anger in it and his eyes locking onto mine like a predator sizing up its prey. I raised a brow, amused at his accusation. "Pay someone?" I echoed, shaking my head slightly. "Is that what you think? Mr. Hudson, I do not have the time or the interest to—" "Shut the fuck up!" he shouted, slamming his palm against my desk so hard that the surface rattled. I stiffened. The raw anger in his voice was not surprising, but the force in which he spoke was unexpected. He was usually composed, always one to handle things through backdoor deals rather than outright aggression. For

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Public announcement

Morgan's point of view My head was spinning as I drove to work the next morning. "Damn," I whispered ,rubbing my eyes. I had not gotten a single hour of sleep last night, and to make matters worse, I had too much to drink. I rolled down the window slightly, hoping the morning air would shake the grogginess from my system, but it barely helped. My mind drifted back to last night. To my last conversation with Marrissa. I sighed loudly, gripping the steering wheel a little tighter. I was not bluffing when I said what I said to her. If I found out that she had anything to do with Jack, I would make their lives miserable. I would not let this slide the way I did with her little toy. I had let him off the hook because I knew he was beneath me. Dragging Marrissa with him would have been an insult to my personality. But with Jack stone, things are different, we already had so many old scores to settle and Marrissa would not be added to it. “Marrissa is the most stubborn woman

Farrow’s point of view I heard a knock on my door and quickly put off my cigarette. I sprayed my room with a nice spray before opening the door.I was shocked to see my dad at the door , smiling like someone who had just been hit with a billionaire dollar contract.“What's up dad?” I asked.“Farrow, Farrow, my darling farrow, " he said, walking inside my room. For a second,I was shocked.I can not remember dad using such words for me except when he wanted to hook me up with some billionaire.“What's going on?” I said, looking at him weirdly.“You have brought me great joy.” He said, smiling broadly. He took me into his arms and hugged me, even rocking me like I was a little girl."Is everything alright?" I whispered."Of course, everything is perfect, thanks to you," he replied."And what exactly did I do?" I asked, still shock at his behavior."Everything I have always wanted and more," he replied.“With what you have accomplished, not only have you secured your future, you have als
