Chapter 6

Reyna

I groaned in pain when I felt the deep scratch from the mountain lion before I slumped to the floor.

The cloth I was putting on soaked up with blood, and I could see the cougar coming forward while licking it's mouth in hunger.

I already counted myself amongst the dead, maybe, I'm not fated to live that long like our older parents.

My heart was beating so fast, I kept shifting backwards while the cougar moved forward. A loud howl echoed in the woods all of a sudden, causing the cougar to jump backwards.

Behold was an Alpha wolf howling aloud with its head upwards.

I was lost in thought. "Who could that be? No Alpha would be in the woods by this time. It's very late already."

While the wolf was raising an alarm, I heard footsteps in a run heading to the place we were, and the cougar had already pounced on the wolf.

I was so weak to stand up, or that would have been an opportunity for me to leave. Seated on the floor, I watched as the cougar fought the Alpha wolf that was ext
