Avery's POV

The voice of the host announcing the participants for the parent-child activity faded into the background. We were all seated in the large school hall. Each parent has a child or children, as in our case since we had twins. In fact,Carlos and Lucas were the only twins in their class.

From the corner of my eyes,I watched Ethan entertain the boys side talk and how they would whisper words to each other from time to time so as not to disturb those around them. It was cute, and my heart couldn't help the warmth that enveloped it.

I almost groaned loudly when I heard Gladys voice sound beside me. I had forgotten about the tea meeting and how she mentioned her kids attend the same school as mine.Somehow, we were directed to sit close to her family table.
