Family Dinner

Avery's POV

My eyes slowly flutter open as I feel small hands rub on my face.

"Shh, Mummy is opening her eye—oh!" My sons both scramble out of bed as soon as they notice I am about to open my eyes.

I slowly sit up, and I notice the boys already seated on their reading table. My lips twitch in amusement. They were sure a handful. I look outside the window, and I notice the sun is already up. How long did I sleep for?

"Good morning, mummy!" They both greet me as soon as they notice I am walking in their direction,their eyes innocent.

"Good morning, you naughty boys!" I say the last part, playfully flicking their foreheads. They giggle and cover their foreheads protectively.

I notice they have already changed into fresh clothes, which means they have taken a bath. My eyes fall on the children's clock on the table, and I almost scream from surprise. I slept till eleven in the morning!
