Avery's POV

The journey back home was a better experience compared to when we had come to the village. There were no potholes, and I spent quality time with Ethan. We talked randomly, about the events of the ground breaking ceremony,the kids, and some people we met at the party.

We finally arrived back at the mansion, where Butler Jenkins and the rest of the staff were already lined up, waiting for us with trained smiles on their faces.

“Good afternoon, Master Ethan, Good afternoon, madam.” They all greeted us in unison as soon as we stood in front of them.

It felt awkward at first to see so many people bow while greeting me, but it was what came with being Ethan's wife or the madam of the Lorenzo family. I felt overwhelmed just thinking about it.
