I readied myself for my first day working with Alpha Troy Hunter. Although the situation that brought me here was not ideal, I was determined to use this opportunity to gain insights into the Redmoon Pack.
I arrived at the designated location, and just as I expected, Troy was waiting for me. He greeted me with a nod."Morning, Blue.""Good morning, Troy," I responded. He informed me that today's plan involved a tour of the pack's training area. As we strolled along, I could not help but notice the training grounds were conveniently close to his house. The training area was even more impressive than I had anticipated. It stretched widely and was well-equipped with various obstacles, weights, and training dummies. Sounds of effort, grunts, and the occasional clang of weights hitting the ground filled the air.As we entered the training room, my eyes widened at the sight before me. Hefty men, each one of them looking like they could lift a building, were engaged invarious training activities. Sweat glistened on their skin as they pushed themselves to their limits. My surprise did not escape Troy's notice, and he smirked slightly. "Impressed?"I shrugged nonchalantly. “I just did not expect it to be this... intense.”He chuckled. "Our pack values strength and unity. This training goes beyond physical fitness, it's about mental soundness too.”“Hmm…” I nodded.Troy pointed out different pack members, their roles becoming clearer as he spoke. My eyes roamed over the athletic figures, trying to find a way to exploit their weaknesses. Our tour of the training area concluded, and Troy guided me to his main office. This one was larger than the previous one and located outside the Alpha house. As we entered, I noticed Xena was already present.Xena's surprise was evident as he looked at me in Troy's office. He exchanged a glance with Troy, clearly puzzled by my presence."Blue," he remarked. “This area is usually restricted to authorized pack members.”I smiled faintly, trying to appear casual. "I am aware, Xena. Troy was just showing me around."He turned to Troy, seeking confirmation. Troy nodded, confirming my statement.“Alright then. Welcome,” Xena said, though he seemed displeased."Thank you," I responded.Xena's gaze lingered on me for a moment longer before shifting back to Troy. I could tell he had more questions, but he chose not to voice them in front of me. I knew Xena was a bit suspicious of me, so I had to be cautious around him.As Troy and Xena exchanged words, my attention was drawn to a shelf filled with what appeared to be pack records and various items. My curiosity got the better of me and I could not resist the urge to run my fingers across the books on the shelf. “Don't even think about it," he warned firmly.I nodded, pretending to be obedient while secretly making a mental note to come back and explore the shelf when no one was around.Troy instructed me to leave and start training in the designated area and he would join me shortly. However, as I walked back, I found myself lost within the vast building's layout. The training area, health care center, Alpha's main office, and other rooms made finding my way back much harder.I stood before a door I had not seen before. Intrigued, I entered and discovered a collection of strange artifacts and weird art pieces, clearly belonging to the Redmoon Pack. My eyes fell on an ancient book written in a language I could not understand. I dropped it back and decided it was time to leave. When I turned around, Troy was glaring at me, his anger burning red on his face."You are poking your nose in where it does not belong," he growled, his voice low and menacing. There was something about his tone that made me feel like a child being scolded by an adult. I hated the feeling, but I could not help but feel a twinge of fear at his words. I straightened my back and looked him in the eye. “And what if I have? What are you hiding?” I saidTroy's jaw tightened, "We have our reasons”"Reasons that don't justify everything you have done," I shot back, my voice rising with my growing anger."Blue, you are playing a dangerous game," Troy's voice dropped into a low growl.I scoffed, my fury getting the better of me."You think I am afraid of you or your pack?"“Well, you should be,” Troy answered. “You are putting yourself in danger, Blue. You have no idea how powerful and deadly we are.”"I know enough to understand that your pack's actions have cost us dearly," I shot back, my voice dripping with venom.Troy took a step closer, his presence almost suffocating“ What are you talking about Blue,” He asked, clearly taken aback by my outburstI clenched my teeth, swallowing down my response. Arguing with him would not yield results, after all, this was not part of the reason I stayed behind.“Whatever. I am going back to my room, my comfy little prison,” I sneered, pacing towards the door. With a hint of amusement, Troy corrected my direction."The door is the other way." He chuckled.I scoffed and brushed past him, heading toward the correct exit.“Such an asshole” I murmured to myself as I walked back to the Alpha’s house. When I am finally strong enough, I am going to make sure I take him down myself, I vowed.TROY’S POV.Since the day Blue joined my pack, I have felt a lot happier, but I can not shake off my concerns. Seeing as Blue does not know I am her mate. Sometimes, I am itching to tell her, but deep down, I know that is a terrible idea. Our first meeting was not exactly friendly, and I did keep her here against her will. But was that a bad idea? It was the only way I could think of to keep her close. When I saw her hugging and being all affectionate with that human, Alex. It stirred up this feeling of jealousy in me. I have heard the rumors that they might be dating and it looks like it might be true. The thought of them together was making me angry. It took everything in my power not to get rid of him that day, but that would put me in a bad position and Blue would hate me forever and the last thing I needed after searching for my mate for a long time was to get rejected. It was not just the hug, it was the way he looked at her like they shared a secret world I could never be a par
Troy and I found ourselves in the training area again, but this time, it was different. He had called me here for our first joint training session. As we stood facing each other, the warmth in his eyes was hard to miss."Today, we will work on your combat skills," he announced.Following his guidance, I settled into a defensive stance. His eyes lingered on me, studying every motion. His first punch came swiftly; I managed to block it, though his speed caught me off guard. The session continued, with Troy patiently leading me through various techniques.“ You are too tense, you need to relax,” he said as he walked towards my direction. As Troy came closer to me, I could feel the air change around us. His steps were slow and precise, and I sensed his attention fixed on me. My heartbeat quickened, and it became hard for me to catch my breath. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as he stopped right in front of me.Standing there, Troy's hand gently rested on my shoulder. His touch sen
As the sun went down, I stood in front of my mirror, thinking about how I looked for the pack's yearly festival. I took a deep breath and came out of my room. The place was full of energy, with the smell of food and the sounds of people having fun. I looked around and saw Troy with some pack members. He noticed me looking at him, smiled, and walked toward me. Even though I was annoyed with him, I still felt nervous and happy."Blue, you look stunning," he said"Thanks," I replied, my tone guarded.“Shall we?" he asked, extending his arm for me to take.I placed my hand on his arm as he guided me around the venue, showing me the different attractions.Suddenly, a young boy around six years old rushed toward us, excitedly exclaiming, "Alpha Troy, look at what I made!"“Look, I drew a picture of you because you are my favorite person in the whole wide world,” he announced proudly. He proudly displayed a crudely drawn picture of Troy, which was barely recognizable. I struggled to suppres
“Hey, Blue, what are you doing here?" Mary's voice sliced through the air as she swung the door open, her unsteady steps causing her to stumble backward. It was clear she was intoxicated.I glanced up, attempting to mask my surprise. "Uhmm… Nothing much," I stammered, my fingers fumbling with the scattered files. Her giggles danced through the room, laced with a teasing edge. “What are you up to, you sneaky little bitch” she taunted, her hand poking at my cheek."You are drunk. Let's get out of here," I suggested, struggling to regain my composure while arranging the last few files."Nah, not really," she replied in a sing-song manner, her words wavering with her intoxicated state."Why did you come here?" I asked, steadying her with my hands, my heart racing as I prayed to the moon goddess that we should not get caught."I saw you leaving the party. I called your name, but you did not answer. So, I followed you here," she whispered quietly and then giggled.Shit, I thought to myself,
ALEX POV.Today I was finally going to meet the girl of my dreams. She does not know this but ever since as a little child, I have always had a crush on Blue. She was the prettiest girl I have ever laid eyes on. I had never met anyone with natural blue hair till I meant Blue and I was completely struck. One vivid memory from my childhood that has always stuck with me was when Alpha Winter took me in as a child, I was constantly bullied by the other kids because I was human while they were powerful werewolves. I remember one day when I was being kicked and beaten by a group of kids my age. Blue stepped in, scolded them, and threatened them, telling them to run away and never touch me again unless she will see he to it that they were greatly punished. She knelt beside me, and I can still recall the first words she said, "Are you okay?" This was the closest we had ever been. Before that moment, she barely acknowledged my existence, and I had thought she despised me but I was wrong. She
I heard a knock at my door."Come in," I replied, and to my surprise, it was Mary. I had not seen her since that night when she had a bit too much to drink."Hey there, I have not seen you in a while, so I thought I should check up on you," she said cheerfully.I yawned and stretched on my bed, feeling quite sleepy. “I'm really tired. Can you give me a few minutes to rest?" I said as I dragged the duvet to cover the rest of my body. "Blue, it's way past noon; I can not do that," she replied, pulling the covers off me.I pleaded, "Please, I'm feeling really tired."She gave me a puppy-dog look and said, "I wish I could leave you to rest, but I have no one else to hang out with, so I need you."Suddenly, a cute little boy rushed into my room."Mommy, Mommy, can I have one of the cupcakes now?" he asked with excitement.Mary smiled at him, her voice gentle. "Not yet, sweetheart, but soon." The little boy pouted and then ran off to play, his disappointment clear on his face.Mary turned
The last thing I remembered was the feeling of falling, followed by the darkness that enveloped me."Blue, are you alright?" someone asked as I slowly regained consciousness.I blinked, confused, trying to make sense of my surroundings. I was no longer in the art room instead, I was lying on a comfy couch, and the voices around me were filled with concern."What happened?" I managed to croak out.Troy, Mary, and a few others were gathered around me. Troy looked especially worried. "You fainted during the painting session," he explained gently.I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me. "I'm so sorry," I mumbled.Mary knelt beside the couch, her hand on my forehead. "You are burning up," she said. "Let's get her back to her room to rest."Troy agreed to help me. He gently carried me up in his strong arms, and I could not help but feel a rush of warmth at his touch. He carefully guided us to my room, where he laid me down gently on my bed. My head was still spinning from the fainting
TROY’S POVOne of my guards said, "Alpha, we have got an intruder."I was taken aback by the unexpected news. "What?" I exclaimed, my eyes widening in shock. "Give me a moment," I requested, watching as the guard closed the door behind him.Turning back to Blue, I noticed her condition had worsened. Leaving her alone was the last thing I wanted to do, but duty calls."Blue," I began gently, "I truly wish I could stay by your side right now, but my pack needs my attention. I am sure you understand, being a fellow Alpha."She nodded slightly, her eyes reflecting understanding. "Yes, I understand."I looked at her one last time as I made for the door, Blue’s expression was unreadable. I wondered if it was from the sickness or because she genuinely wished I could spend more time with her. It would be better if it was the latter because I do not want to leave her side either. In my office, I found Xena and another of my trusted guards already present. A quick survey revealed the chaos th
