The Three Alphas (Part 2)

“I am sorry, but please, could any of you tell me, what is the reason for this gathering?”

Sky was trying to wrap her head over the arrivals of another two Alphas, she had known of Alpha Payne for a year. They had a conversation over email or social media. Thankfully, her grandparents still let her have the latest technology, like the cellphone or laptop. She needs it to get her education and get taught by the best professors from every part of the world, but still, it is limited.

Knowing how sheltered Sky’s life was, Payne gets a bit overprotective, over anything, even though he already has an agreement with Soma and Gale, an agreement that he was so nervously trying to explain to Sky.

“Well, Payne, aren’t you going to ask her about our arrangement?” Gale, who always looked like he never had a care in the world and took his time to chill in the sunshine before going about his day, now also looks a bit nervous. He is indeed nervous because he wants her. When Payne was carrying her outside, he was already enamored by her beauty and fragile quality.

This is why Payne wanted to wait. He looked at how nervous Sky was right now, not to mention she had a long day last night, getting sold by her family and now, probably going hunted by that own family as well. The last thing Payne wants from her is a rejection. He ushered the other two away from the room for now.

It makes Sky more confused than before. “Wait, where are you going?”

“Uhm… The three of us need to talk about something first.” Said Payne to Sky as he then closed the door, not even waiting for her reaction.

Soma laughed at him, “We are not yet asking the young lady, but you already acting all territorial shit. Seriously, Payne, if you want this to work out, you need to listen for her opinion as well.”

“Shut up, Soma, just… Let’s go to another room!” He got so angry, over his insensibility, but he will never admit it to Soma.

They were inside Gale's study room, trying to figure out a way to explain their arrangement to her.

“I said we just say it, plain and simple,” Soma said with confidence in his manner, always the one with a rather quick word without even thinking, while Payne and Gale gave him a slight glare. “Oh, come on! She is young, but she is not a child anymore. She must have already heard about this kind of arrangement before.”

“Don’t forget, she is a sheltered young lady. We don’t want to get her in shock and worse, afraid of us.” This time, it was Gale who gave them his opinion on the matter.

Payne was sitting on the chair, with his two hands joining together. He was thinking of the best way to tell her. Most of the surrounding people always thought that Payne was a cold Alpha without any heart, but the truth, he just can’t express his feelings very well. He was the cold one on the outside, but take a look deeper, he always thinks the best for everyone.

Gale saw this good quality in Payne. That’s why he considers him as one of the people that he can confide in, a best friend, and if it’s all going to be exactly like their plan, a share mate. He took a sigh and instructed his butler to prepare them some meal. “Let’s talk about it over brunch. She probably will give us some good answers with a full stomach.”

The others agreed, and half an hour later, all of them were already in the dining room, with an array of food in front of the four of them. Sky doesn’t have an appetite, but she could feel that she needs to be here, with them, an obligation of sorts in her own mind.

“Did the food not in your liking, Miss Bluedawn?” Asked Gale after he observed her plate.

She shook her head and smiled, “No… I love it, but… I am sorry, Alpha… I don’t know your family name…” She blurted it out while blushing, “It was rude of me.”

“Not at all, my name is Gale Crimsonite.” Gale introduces himself to Sky and then looks into Soma. “That man right there is Soma Midorikawa, another Alpha from the Asian branch.”

“Crimsonite? I knew about your family, you… You’re a noble.” Her eyes glinted with admiration towards Gale. It gave Soma a chuckle and another gruntled from Payne.

As for Gale, he was smiling and nodded his head. “Yes, I am from the purest blood of the werewolf society, but I insist you call me Gale.”

With a bit of hesitation, Sky nodded her head and smiled at him as well. Soma took the time to give him his opinion. “Of course, you can also call me Soma, alright princess.”

“What?! I… I am not a princess, sir!” She was blushing with all shades of red.

Soma was grinning and still trying to tease the girl. “Oh, Berry Princess will be befitting for your name, it seems.”

“Soma, just stop it.” Said Payne with a sigh, “You need to stop teasing her.”

“Hey, it would be perfect for this situation, though. She needs to lighten up before we give her the ultimatum.” Soma, still grinning with his eyes, kept staring at Sky. Not even a slighted guilt after he revealed their intention directly.

Sky choked on her drink, as she put her glass down and looked around, “Ultimatum? What kind of ultimatum?” Asked Sky desperately to the three of them.

The three Alphas looked into each other, and finally, Payne decided, he would be the one who relayed the message to her. “As I know your intention to seek asylum for me, I can’t just possibly grant the protection without any consequences.”

“Consequences? But, you’re an Alpha, and if the rumor is true, a powerful one.” She asked him the question, and also the reason for her plea.

“Powerful? Me? Well, it could be true, but you need to remember, the Alpha that is now trying to claim you as his own is also powerful Skylark.” Said Payne, even using her full name to get her attention.

She twirled her beautiful blonde hair, a bit flustered by Payne. “No one ever called me Skylark before.”

“Really? It is a beautiful name.” Gale said it to her while he tilted his name and smiled gracefully at her.

The three of them really gave her a strange feeling, a feeling that grew inside of her. “I… I… Anyway, please just tell me, what is the consequences.” She was nervously trying to avoid them knowing of her feelings, by pursuing Payne to explain any further.

Soma looked into his two friends, and with his hand folded into his chest, he blatantly said to Sky. “Simple, You need to be ours instead, princess.”

“What?! Yours?! I mean, all three of you?!” She was livid, and couldn’t even believe what she had just heard from Soma.

Meanwhile, Payne and Gale glared at Soma, but a bit of relief indeed came from their expression, telling her straightly, indeed is the best idea right now.

“Well, it is either that cruel and sadistic Arthur or the three of us, don’t worry, we will treat you as you are supposed to be.” Said Soma with a win.

“And what am I supposed to be?” Asked Sky again.

Payne sips his wine, and calmly explains it to Sky, “Of course, you will be our mate, and if it is possible, with the grace of the Moonlight Goddess, you will become, our Luna.”

Gasping after hearing Payne’s words, Sky looks into Payne directly, “Luna? I mean, that’s the highest rank in werewolf society, even higher than the Alpha.”

“Indeed, Miss Sky, we see the potential in you, and also this could be a beneficial arrangement for the four of us.” Gale tried to calm her down, with his sultry look and smile, “The three of us need a mate, a powerful one that can handle our… certain requirements, and you need protection. You will get our protection and so much more, and we will gain you as our mate and the bearer of our pups.”

“But it means I need to… Uhmm… I need to.”

Soma impatiently took a sigh, “Yes, you need to have s*x with us. I mean, we expect you to become the mother of our broods. One needs to insert something into you to get a result, right?”

The vulgarity of Soma made Sky unable to even say any single sentence. Instead, she took a stand and excused herself. “I… I will think about it. Good day, gentlemen!”

As she ran away from the dining room, Payne and Gale berated Soma for how rude and vulgar he was.

“Seriously, Soma, you need to mind your own word, especially for her.” Gale wasn’t having it. As much as he respected his best friend, he knew they had their own flaw.

Shrugging his shoulder, Soma then said, “No, the sheltered princess needs a reality check. Her fairytale life is over. It is us or that vicious Arthur.”

“This is not a competition, Soma!” Payne couldn’t handle him for now, he stood up and excused himself. “I’ll go to her, and both of you, stay! Especially you, Soma. You’ve already given enough damage to her.”

As Payne left the two of them, Gale took a sigh, and chose not to quarrel, but then, a knock came from another door. An old man with a slick suit bows to Gale.

“Master, there’s a representative of another Alpha who came here.” Said the old man.

“Who is it, Bernard?” Asked Gale to his butler.

“A representative from the Alpha Arthur Blackstone, master.”

Both Gale and Soma were alerted immediately.
