It was a pity she was Jerrod’s sister. I would have liked to court her in the true sense of the word, to take her out and spoil her and to spend time with her, exploring every part of who she’d become. But that wasn’t going to happen. “Here we are,” I said, pulling into the parking lot of a beachside restaurant.
