Chap 16: We misunderstood each other.

Declan entered Fidelia's hospital room when he suddenly stopped when he saw her bare back covered in scars. He stood motionless like a statue and felt his left chest itch; it was a painful feeling when he saw her injured body. The scars carved into the word "Killer" made him angry. He clenched his fists to hold back his rage, wanting to ask her, "What happened while you were in prison? Who did this to her? Do you want me to kill the people who hurt you?"

Startled, Fidelia hastily pulled up her shirt to hide her ugly back. She looked at him with embarrassment. He must have been terrified when he saw it. Fidelia clenched her hands together with uneasiness. She lowered her head, not daring to meet Declan's sharp gaze. She didn't know what to say to him at this point. Because she has low self-esteem when it comes to her body, no man will like his woman to have flaws in her body. More specifically, he is also a billionaire.

"Declan regrets it? Maybe. Did he see that word?" Fidelia wondered
