MARCELLUS’ POV.

“Why won't you sleep here?” Lena asked, rubbing her fingers to draw invisible lines on my arms. I recoiled, trying as hard as I could not to flip out; I was surprised to see how tense I had been all along.

Staying in Lane's arms seemed like a sin, one I couldn't commit and shouldn't anymore. Gently I shoved her off my lap, and standing to my feet, I cursed at whatever forces had put me in this position. This was what I had to bear for Fiona's sake, even if it meant hurting her.

I'm certain she was strong enough to take just a few days of harsh words; she won't break her easily. It was just

Either I did this, or death for the latter wasn't what I wanted to think of.

“You need a good night's rest, Lena. I'll only be a nuisance.” I whispered out the worst, trying hard to sound as convincing as possible.

Although I'm certain she peaky saw through the cracks already, I realized I may be doing all of this for Fiona, yet it was just as Raymond had advised friendship…. I was d

MARCELLUS’ POV.Four bloody times I had called Raphael, and each one went straight to voicemail. He was getting under my skin, pissing me off for a bloody purpose. I'd make him pay; it was a promise. But first off, I needed to speak with Fiona.Where did she go off with that scoundrel? I hadn't said a thing about him because I wasn't certain; there was no solid evidence of any sort. I couldn't be rash, but I had every reason, in fact, to believe Raphael was indeed involved in selling drugs with the humans. He was an alpha. He had to propel the strengths. There was joy playing in hell. I had a brother who was no different than a drug lord. I needed to correct certain things, starting from now.The minute I lay my hands on him, the moment I see him, I'm sure as hell sending him out of my back; I couldn't keep up with this base KWS advances toward her; she was too innocent, Fiona was way too naive that I know to be swooned by his promises.I didn't like him lingering around her, but I'm

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Revealed Identity

RAPHAEL'S POV. I glanced Sideways, my phone had been switched off, but an annoying continuous ring from the second phone made me grumble in low tones, knowing who the caller was. Slowly I reached toward it, cursing beneath my breath; she really needed it nailed into her head that she needed to quit playing the mother role. “Where the fuck are you?” Her voice barked into the phone as soon as the line clicked. I picked the phone off my ears slowly, corking my head to the side, my eyes rolling in their orbs. What was she dying to hear? “It's cold tonight; can we not do this?” I strutted towards the balcony, peering behind me; Fiona would knock if she wanted to come in, but there was something about risks I wasn't willing to take. The soft glow in the moonlight was up in the sky, the streets around the estate were well-lit, I could hear night sounds coming from the garden, and the poolside, and everything else was silent. The rooms were reinforced and soundproofed, so everyone could

RAPHAEL'S POV. Dropping the phones to a side, I walked slowly without a care in the world; the entire room was silent, it warmed up to me firmly knowing Marcellus was probably having restless nights, tossing from one side of the bed towards another. Cursing at me, I wouldn't mind if he dealt me a blow as soon as we returned home, might help in scoring more points for me. But Lena was right, why? Do I really need Fiona? Maybe...maybe not. I had to admit it made me glad with an air of pride seeing that painful glint in Marcellus's eyes; I enjoyed the pain he felt when he saw me hovering around Fiona. Seeing he was unsettled in his own pack, suddenly possessive of a woman, he made me insane with joy; he was getting obsessed and reckless. The council would notice soon enough; Fiona wasn't so important in my life; it kept Marcellus from my drug trade, though, but Lena could do just as much if she was put to the task. Yet I could not picture myself away from Fiona, she had become… more

RAPHAEL'S POVHer lips felt like heaven, soft and inviting, pulling me deeper without even trying. For a moment, she just froze, her hands clutching my shirt, unsure whether to pull me closer or push me away. But then she gave in, melting against me like she belonged there.I deepened the kiss, my hand sliding to her waist. She whimpered softly, and damn, it did something to me. That sound, the way her body trembled—it was like fuel, feeding the fire already burning inside me.When I finally pulled back, her chest was rising and falling, her cheeks flushed. She looked up at me, her wide eyes filled with something I couldn’t quite name. Was it confusion or desire? Maybe a mix of both.“Raphael,” she whispered, her voice shaky but soft, like she was testing how it sounded to say my name like that.I smirked, brushing my thumb over her cheek. “What? Did I scare you?”Her face turned redder, and she quickly looked away. “You shouldn’t have done that,” she mumbled, but her voice lacked con

RAPHAEL'S POVHer words echoed in my head, and I couldn’t help the rush of emotions that came with them. She was mine now. Completely mine, and I wasn’t letting her go. Not tonight, not ever.I stepped closer, my hands still holding her face. Her eyes were wide, staring into mine with a mix of fear and something else—something I couldn’t ignore. I leaned in close, my lips brushing against her ear as I spoke.“Say it again,” I whispered, my voice soft but firm. “Tell me what you want, Fiona.”She hesitated for just a moment, her breath shaky, before she whispered back, “I want you, Raphael.”Those words lit a fire inside me. Without waiting another second, I kissed her again, harder this time. My hands moved down her back, pulling her closer to me. She gasped into the kiss, her hands clutching my shirt as if she couldn’t get close enough.I pressed her against the wall, my lips leaving hers to trail down her jaw and neck. She tilted her head back, giving me full access, and I didn’t wa

RAPHAEL’S POV. The sunlight peeked through the heavy curtains, casting a soft golden glow across the room. For a moment, I stayed still, my arm draped over her waist, her back pressed against my chest. Her breathing was slow and steady, and her warmth seeped into me. It was peaceful, a rare moment of quiet I hadn’t experienced in years. She stirred slightly, her body shifting against mine. Her hair was a mess, falling in loose waves across the pillow. I didn’t move, not wanting to break the spell of the morning. This was perfect—too perfect.“You’re awake,” her soft voice broke the silence. She didn’t turn to face me, but her words carried a sense of ease.“Barely,” I murmured, tightening my hold around her waist.“Did I wake you?” I asked smiling at her“No,” she said, shaking her head slightly.“I think the sun did.” she asserted with an even wider smile, she wasn't edgy or pissed, she looked relaxedI chuckled, burying my face into her hair. “Then I’ll blame the sun for ruining th

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Tea Party

FIONA'S POVThe morning sunlight spilled through the grand windows, painting golden patterns on the floor. I sat with a group of women in the lush garden, the scent of blooming flowers mixing with the faint aroma of tea. The small group had gathered around a charming table set with delicate porcelain teacups, tiny cakes, and sandwiches that looked like they had been prepared with a ruler—each piece perfect and precise.Raphael had wandered off to the men’s side of the estate, where a makeshift chess tournament had been set up. I caught a glimpse of him earlier, leaning back in his chair, his sharp gaze calculating his next move. He’d tossed me a quick wink before diving back into his game. My cheeks had flushed, and I looked away before anyone noticed.“So, Fiona,” one of the women said, pulling me back to the present. Her name was Francesca, and she had this effortless elegance about her, the kind that came with power and privilege. “How are you finding life here with the rest of us?

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   The stern warning

FIONA'S POV.It was late, and the fire in Fiona's eyes had dimmed to a tired glow by the time I walked her to her room. She didn’t say much, her arms wrapped around herself as if trying to hold together the fragments of her pride. I could still hear the echo of that vile accusation ringing in my ears, but for now, Fiona needed peace.“Rest,” I said, pulling the blanket up to her chin as she settled on the bed. Her auburn hair spilled across the pillow, and though her expression was still tense, the weariness in her eyes began to soften. “I’ll take care of everything.”She gave me a faint nod, her lips pressing together as if to keep from speaking. I leaned over, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Don’t think about it, Fiona. You’re better than any of them.”Her eyes glistened, but she blinked quickly and turned her face away. I didn’t push her. She needed space to process everything, and I had work to do.Closing her door quietly behind me, I exhaled, letting the simmering rag

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   A glimpse of hope

FIONA'S POV.I wanted to believe him. Something about the way he looked at me, the faint softness in his otherwise hard expression, made me think he wasn’t my enemy. “Why are you here, Lucien?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Because I couldn’t stand by anymore. What Ricky’s doing... it’s wrong. And if I can do anything to stop it, I will.” The sincerity in his voice made my chest tighten. For so long, I’d felt isolated, and powerless. But now, with him he stood abruptly, his movements fluid and purposeful. “You need water,” he said. I nodded, unable to deny the dryness in my throat, the ache in my body. Lucien strode to the door and pounded on it. The sound reverberated through the room, making me flinch. A moment later, it creaked open, revealing one of the guards. “What do you want?” the guard grunted, his tone dismissive. “She needs water,” Lucien said coldly, his tone brooking no argument. “She’s had enough,”

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Burden

FIONA'S POV.The world was a haze of pain and disorientation. My head throbbed with a dull ache, and my limbs felt heavy, as though weighed down by invisible chains. The cold air stung my skin, a cruel reminder of the damp, unforgiving environment I was trapped in. I blinked slowly, trying to piece together my fragmented memories. Where am I? The last thing I remembered was the warehouse. The fight. The chaos. And then... nothing. I struggled to sit up, my muscles protesting with every movement. The room I was in was stark and unfamiliar—gray walls, a concrete floor, and a single flickering light overhead. There was no warmth, no comfort. Just cold, sterile emptiness. My heart pounded as I took in my surroundings. A metal door loomed on one side of the room, its surface scratched and dented. On the other side was a small table, a tray of untouched food resting on top of it. The sight of the food made my stomach churn. I didn’t trust it. The silence was oppressive, broken onl

RAPHAEL'S POV."She’s your mate, both of you., I know," Ricky interrupted, rolling his eyes. "You’ve made that abundantly clear. But tell me, Marcellus, how does it feel knowing you can’t protect her? That she’s suffering because of you?" I couldn’t take it anymore. I stepped forward, my wolf growling beneath the surface. "Enough, Ricky! If you don’t give her back, I swear—" "Swear what?" Ricky interrupted, his eyes gleaming with malice. "You’ll kill me? Tear me apart? Go ahead, Raphael. I’d love to see you try." Before I could respond, Marcellus placed a hand on my shoulder, stopping me. His touch was firm, grounding me in the moment. "We didn’t come here to fight," he said, his voice steady. "We came for Fiona. Take us to her, Ricky. Now." Ricky tilted his head, his grin returning. "Oh, you’ll see her soon enough," he said cryptically. "But first, let’s talk. It’s been so long since we’ve had a proper family reunion." Without waiting for a response, he turned and began wal

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   The sick games

RAPHAEL’S POVAs soon as we stepped out of the helicopter, the cold morning air hit my face like a warning. The valley was quiet, almost too quiet, and every muscle in my body tensed as I focused on the figure standing before us. It was Ricky. His arms were spread wide like he was greeting us as old friends, but his smile? It was anything but friendly."Marcellus," Ricky called out, his voice echoing across the open field. "Welcome. It’s been too long, brother."I didn’t miss the sarcasm dripping from his words. My eyes darted to Marcellus, his jaw clenched tight, and his fists balled at his sides. I could feel the rage rolling off him, a storm barely contained.Ricky stood there, calm as ever, dressed like he’d just walked out of some high-end club. His dark hair was slicked back, his suit sharp and spotless. But his eyes… His eyes told a different story. They gleamed with a sick kind of pleasure, as if he was enjoying this.I stepped forward, putting myself slightly in front of Marc

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   A visit to Ricky

MARCELLUS POV.We turned and sprinted towards the forest, our legs carrying us with unnatural speed. We were going home, to gather our pack, to prepare for the fight that was surely to come. Fiona was in danger, and we would do whatever it took to bring her home safely. The wind whipped through our fur as we raced through the moonlit forest, our senses heightened, our minds focused on the single-minded goal of finding Fiona. We reached the edge of the forest, the familiar scent of pine needles and damp earth a welcome relief. We shifted back into human form, our bodies aching, but our spirits fueled by a burning need for vengeance. We ran towards the pack house, our footsteps echoing through the still night. The familiar sight of the pack house, a majestic stone structure nestled amidst towering trees, brought a sense of comfort, a reminder of the strength and unity of our pack.As we approached, I saw a figure standing on the porch, her silhouette illuminated by the warm glow of the

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Game on

MARCELLUS’ POVThe rain was coming down hard, just like the storm inside me. I paced my room, worried sick about Fiona. My wolf, Raphael, sat beside me, watching me with sad eyes."We have to keep looking," I growled, my voice rough. "We can't give up."Raphael nodded. "I know, Marcellus. We won't. But we need to be smart about it."I sat down, feeling really tired. We had been searching for days, and it felt like I was losing hope.Raphael put his hand on my shoulder. "We'll find her, Marcellus," he said softly. "I promise."His words didn't make me feel much better. Fiona was my mate, my everything. I couldn't imagine life without her."We need to follow the last clue," I said, my voice hoarse. "It's the only thing we have left."Raphael nodded. "It's a long shot, but it's all we have."We turned into wolves, strong and fast. We needed to find Fiona. We ran deep into the forest, searching for any sign of her. The air was cold and wet, but we kept going. We had to find her.The trail

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Half brother’s revenge

RICKY'S POV.The rain hammered against the balcony, fine, it was bloody pissed just as the storm raging within me. I inhaled deeply from my cigar, the puff of the smoke a comforting companion to the satisfaction that coiled within me. I glanced down at the city lights, they all spread out beneath me. Somewhere down there, my brother, Marcellus, was undoubtedly tearing his hair out, searching for Fiona. The thought sent a shiver of pleasure down my spine. How could he? What was so special about her? Marcellus had never let down his guard, but all for a girl he tore down the wall, a human girl at that? A weak, frail human lady.I had planned Fiona's abduction with the smartness of a seasoned hunter, snatching her right from under Marcellus's nose. The look of fury and despair on his brother's face, the raw, primal grief that had consumed him – it was a sight to behold. I basked in the memory, the taste of sweet revenge lingering on my tongue.Marcellus, the golden boy, the perfect heir

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Daunting Stranger

FIONA'S POV.The hallway was long and dark. Every step I took echoed, making me feel scared. The man walked in front of me, moving like a hunter. I wondered who he was and why he was helping me.We got to the end of the hallway and he opened a big metal door. The light hurt my eyes at first. He covered my eyes with his hand.We were in a big, empty room. There were boxes everywhere and it sounded like machines were running. Men in dark clothes were watching us. The man looked at a fast, black helicopter."Get in," he said.I was scared but I hoped he was telling the truth. "Where are we going?"He stopped and looked at me. "A safe place.""Safe?" I asked. I wasn't sure if I believed him.He didn't say anything. Then he got in the helicopter too. The engine was very loud. We went up in the air and the ground got smaller and smaller.I was scared and excited at the same time. Was this really my escape? Or was I just going from one bad place to another? I looked down at the city lights.

  • Betrayed, But Redeemed.   Abducted

FIONA'S POV.I woke up to the sound of chains rattling and loud laughter echoing off the silent cold walls of the small dimly lit cell I was in. My head throbbed from whatever they’d done to knock me out, and my body ached as if I’d been dragged through the mud. The smell of mildew and iron hung thick in the air, and when I opened my eyes, the dim light from a single bulb stung them.I blinked, trying to make sense of where I was. Cold tiles pressed against my bare feet as I shifted, and I realized I was sitting on the floor, my wrists bound in front of me by rough ropes. The place was small and claustrophobic, the walls stained and cracked, the ceiling so low I felt like it was pressing down on me. A heavy metal door stood on one side of the room, with a small barred window that gave me a glimpse of the shadowy figures outside. I shivered, the chill seeping into my bones."Awake at last," a sneering voice said, pulling my attention to the door. A man with greasy hair and a crooked sm
