Chapter Twenty Eight

Finn's POV:

I didn’t know which emotion to embrace first. I realized my son had asked me who I was and I also realized Lilith was sitting there like a deer caught in an oncoming car’s headlights.

“I’m your dad,” I said. I heard Lilith's intake of breath and didn’t even bother to look over at her. I was too afraid I may give in to my urge to strangle her.i knew I wouldn’t really do that but I was pretty infuriated with her right then.

“Really?” Jacob asked me skeptically. His face contorted into such a mirror image of my own I wanted to shout for joy. I was meeting my son. I wanted to jump from the bed and pull him into my arms but I was still completely naked underneath the protection of the bedding. I knew the only reason Lilith was still in the bed was for the same reason.

“I really am,” I said, having to fight the emotions trying to break free.
