Dawn stared at the wall, her mind wandering as she tried to think of ways to get out of the mess she found herself in. It was hard just keeping her thought in so that her captor wouldn't know what it was she thought about, not that it solved much since he could pick up whatever it was she was feeling. It all almost felt hopeless. What was the use of trying and fighting back when all it led to was more pain? Dawn felt the pain in her head increase, making her feel much more agitated than she did before.

"Here I got you something," Seth said and Dawn's gaze jerked from the bedspread she was clutching. He dropped the box into her lap and then took the seat in front of her.

Dawn stared at the box, making no move to touch it.

"I don't have all day, open the damn box".

Dawn glared at him, then flung the box into his face. "I never asked you to get me anything, so I won't be opening whatever this is. If you want to apologize, then do that instead of trying to make everything go away w
