She didn’t know whether to trust Jake Mitchell or not. He asked for her coat and slipped it over her shoulders by the end of the dance and escorted her to his personal taxi driver, Henry Reynolds, who congratulated them on their engagement and took her home. Jake walked with her to the front door of the apartment and wished her a good night and said he would see her at the bank on Monday.
