CHAPTER 33
Zachary opened his eyes, removing his hand from the back of Jacinta’s neck when she finally pulled away and rolled off on top of him on a Wednesday morning. He cradled her to his side as she snuggled up to him, kissing his uninjured shoulder.
“For someone who just got out of the hospital, you still know how to make me happy and sated,” she said with a teasing smile on her face. She propped her elbow up, supporting her head while her other hand drew circles on his broad chest, caressing the few hairs lightly.
“Well, I haven’t fully paid my doctor yet,” he commented with a grin.
Jacinta laughed as she straddled one leg over his and rested her chin on his chest.
“I can collect the remaining balance later,” she replied jokingly. “I need to get ready to do some rounds on my patients. I’ll be back early afternoon.”
