Chapter 134

RICHARD’S POV

“If you continue like this, you’ll have no more tears left to cry in happy times in future, and your eyes could fall out,” I said as I came closer to her and helped her up.

She sniffled in a thick sob and wiped her eyes and face nervously with the back of her hand, trying to steady her erratic breath.

“Is she angry?” She gulped and asked in concern.

“No… not at all,” I blurted out, almost not knowing what to say as I waved it off, forcing a smile. “I was just explaining some things to her. She’s fine. There’s nothing to worry about.”

I think I might have exaggerated a bit, but prayed she didn’t notice otherwise she would think I was lying and bear it in mind that B and I were probably fighting because of her.

Though B was angry at first and didn’t want her to stay in the apartment, I was sure my last talk with her managed to calm her down and make her reconsider, so there was nothing to worry about.

“Ok,” Heather mumbled and nodded slowly.
