Chapter 10.

AMBER’S POV

My doorbell rang.

“I think that’s Hannah at the door,” I muttered under my breath. “Come in Hannah.”

Hannah came into the room with a tray of food in her hand. Hannah is older than me. Hannah is the oldest maiden out of the four maidens that served me, and also the most quiet of them all. Hannah is five foot nine inches tall and her fingers are also very long. Her eyes are still gold colored, which means she hasn’t taken the life of a human. Judging from her calm look, Hannah doesn’t look like one that could kill a fly.

“What is that, Hannah?” I asked curiously.

“It’s your breakfast, my queen,” she said as she gently placed the tray down on my table. “You had also summoned me, your highness.”

“That is correct, I sent for you. Have a seat,” I said as I tapped my bed and she sat. “I want to—”

“I know you’re currently angry at me, your highness. That is why I’ve come here to plead for your forgiveness—”

If you would let me finish my sentence, you would’ve known that I didn’t
