Evelyn woke up early as she stirred on the bed, yawned, and groggily straightened up. Her eyes fell on the giant of a man laying on a small couch. Half of his legs were dangling down from the other end, she could bet his body would be in pain as soon as he would wake up because of the position he was in.

Parco's words rang in her head and fear coiled in her heart. She quietly got out of bed as she was about to walk past his sleeping form, she came to halt beside him.

Maybe this was the last time she would see him. There was no scowl on his face and he looked peaceful while sleeping, almost like a baby.
