Council's Dissapoinment

Dave came up to Mia again. Beta Daniel walked away so Dave wouldn't notice him watching Mia from a distance.

"Hi baby, do you like my invitation to the house pack?" Dave asked Mia. He put his arm around her waist.

Mia looked at Dave and smiled, "I'm happy, baby! I feel like I'm getting special treatment from the Omegas here, even though I used to be an Omega like them, always under orders."

"Ssst, don't play history again when you were an Omega. Now you're my future Luna, don't always put yourself down. Maybe they're nice because you're friendly," said Dave, holding the tip of Mia's chin.

Mia felt even more confident in her lie.

The Omegas were talking about her bad attitude behind her back. Mia had always been arbitrary to the Omegas. She even bragged about herself. In the past, Mia rarely went to the house pack because she was supposed to concentrate on helping Dave and Cora. Who would have thought this would be her chance to win over Dave? Instead of helping out around the house, Mia often tries to get the Alpha to sleep with her when Luna is on house-pack duty.

"You can do it, baby. Thanks for trusting me," Mia told Dave.

"Yes, dear, now let's come to my office. I'll tell you about our duties and responsibilities as Alpha and a Luna," Dave said later.

Mia nodded, and they went hand in hand to Dave's room. The house pack consisted of a two-story building with a castle-like design. A large green courtyard with a plantation on the right side and a farm in the backyard surrounded it. Dave's room was on the first floor.

Arriving at Dave's room, several proposal documents were piled on his desk, and Dave sighed, "Hmm, why did I forget to ask Cora to finish this task before she left? So now I'm in trouble. Dave muttered to himself.

Mia walked around the room. Then she saw Dave's wedding photo with Cora still hanging on the wall.

"Dave, why don't you take that picture down?" Mia said with a sarcastic look.

"I'm sorry, Mia. Since I kicked Cora out, you know I haven't had a chance to return. Don't worry, I'll get an Omega to remove it," Dave explained.

Mia just crossed her arms over her stomach and looked slightly annoyed. Dave pressed the bell on his desk to call the Omega for help. One of the Omegas came to his room right away.

"Excuse me, Alpha Dave. How can I help you?" the Omega asked, bowing respectfully.

"Please remove this photo," Dave said, pointing to his wedding photo with Cora, "take it to the warehouse," he continued.

Mia immediately interrupted Dave’s words, “Ah, you mean Alpha Dave? Just throw it away, or you burn the photo to ashes!” she said to the Omega.

The Omega seemed confused as well as conflicted. Although he still respected Cora, he could accept the Alpha's request with his new future, Luna.

"We-well, I'll throw it away," an Omega said, stuttering.

Just as the Omega was about to remove the photo of Dave and Cora from the wall, the door suddenly opened. A dashing man entered the room, apparently Beta Daniel. He had been stalking Mia and Dave. He had overheard their conversation.

"Let me keep the photo. No need to throw it away because you will need it again one day!" He said.

Dave and Mia were annoyed when they heard Beta Daniel's statement.

"What do you mean, Beta Daniel? Don't always interfere with my business," Dave said.

"I'm sorry, Alpha Dave, I'm not against you. I still respect Luna Cora's merits. Let me keep the photo if you don't want it," Daniel explained. He carried the photo and rushed out without saying a word.

Dave looked very angry that Daniel dared to oppose him this time. He immediately asked the Omega to leave the room.

"Damn it!" Dave kicked his desk.

"Honey, I'm sorry you and Beta Daniel fought because of my request," Mia said quietly, trying to get Dave's attention again.

"It's not your fault, Mia dear. This room shouldn't hold everything about Cora anymore," Dave looked at Mia even though there was still anger in his chest.

"Looks like the Council doesn't like me and the child I'm carrying," Mia said again, pretending to cry.

"Darling, don't cry! They don't know you yet, and I believe that once you officially become Luna and our child is born, everyone in the Blood Moon pack will be in love with you," Dave coaxed Mia.

They stared at each other. Finally, they had intercourse in the room. Dave should have been finishing his chores on hold since Cora's departure and teaching Mia about the responsibilities of being a Luna. But Dave forgot his original purpose of coming to the House Pack because of their feelings and passion.

Meanwhile, in the Council office, Daniel came in with an annoyed look. He was carrying a window-sized photo of Dave and Cora.

"Beta Daniel, why did you bring that photo into the room?" asked a surprised Gamma.

"Alpha Dave wanted to throw it away and burn it on Mia's orders. I didn't allow it and will keep it in our room. I still respect Luna Cora," Beta Daniel said.

"I agree with your opinion, but... would Alpha Dave agree? Luna Cora has already been rejected," a Delta asked.

In the werewolf hierarchy system, Cora no longer had any place or position in the pack.

"Yes, I am aware of that, but Luna Cora remains in our hearts even though she has no place in this pack anymore. Her service is too great. I still respect her and hope she will come back here," Beta Daniel explained.

The others seemed to agree after the man had finished his statement. They also seemed to have sad faces as they regretted Dave's actions.

"I've just seen how Mia is being arbitrary with the Omegas. She even asked for the best and most luxurious food. Even though our pack is on a budget." Beta Daniel said again.

"Seriously, if this continues, the pack's finances will be tight," Delta said.

"Earlier, I also heard Alpha Daniel talking to an administrator about renovating the house pack. You remember Luna Cora was allocating funds for something important at the time. She was buying medicinal plant seeds because the demand for herbal medicine was increasing," Gamma interjected.

The Blood Moon Pack was amid an income crisis, as many investors pulled out, especially when they found out that Cora did not exist, and the donors stopped giving one by one.

Cora had an intelligent strategy. She had previously planned to allocate the funds to buy medicinal plant seeds so that their packs could earn income from sales when harvested. Meanwhile, as Dave suggested, there would be many unexpected expenses for renovating the house pack.

Cora is more concerned with ways that affect the future. That is why the Blood Moon Pack seems to lose its direction without her.

"Right now, it's useless to voice our opinion to Alpha Dave. He'll only listen to Mia," Beta Daniel explained again with a disappointed look.

"We can discuss this with Elder Sam right away. Hopefully, Alpha Dave will listen to him," Delta suggested again.

The council agreed, and finally, they went to a small building on the other side of the house pack, which was the Elder's house. The distance was also pretty close, only a few meters.

*

In Dave's room, Mia and Dave had just finished their hot activities and put their clothes back on.

"You can satisfy me anytime," Dave said, and Mia had a triumphant smile.

"That's why I'm better than your ex-wife," Mia replied.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Both rushed to get dressed.

"Who?!" Dave shouted.

"I'm Omega, delivering Mrs. Mia's order!" said the voice from outside.

Without waiting for Dave's permission, Mia immediately asked the Omega to come in. The Omega placed her order on the table and left the room again.

Dave was a little surprised by what Mia had ordered. It seemed like a lot of food and a luxurious meal usually only prepared for guests of honor or delegates from outside their pack.

"Venison, fruit, goats' milk, honey, dessert cake, caviar, hmmm, is that all you ordered, Mia?" asked a slightly stunned Dave.

"Why, I was wrong dear. I'm sorry, I've returned it to the kitchen. Even though I'm pregnant with Alpha's future heir, I definitely need nutritious food," Mia pointed out, pretending to be sorry.

"No-no, really honey, you're not wrong. It's good that you care about your child's nutrition—no need to turn it over. Just eat well so that our children are healthy," Dave said, trying to understand and afraid that Mia would be offended.

Meanwhile, the council was already in the Elder's room. They were talking about Dave and Mia's current behavior.

"Well, I'll try to talk to Alpha Dave later. I don't think now is a good time." Elder Sam said, holding his beard.

The strapping, handsome man sat with the council in the guest room.

Beta Daniel asked, "Why Elder Sam?"

"Beta Daniel, Alpha Dave is in love right now. Whatever people say that doesn't agree with him, especially about Mia, the person he loves right now, he won't accept. He will resist. Wait until things calm down and become less passionate. I'll try to convince him to be wiser about this pack than Mia," Elder Sam explained with wisdom.

They all agreed. There was some truth in it. Regarding Mia's behavior, Elder Sam devised a plan to experiment by letting the woman act arbitrarily. Later, they would assign a watcher to spy on her and secretly record her with a cell phone. They would use this as evidence to show Dave later.

"Beta, Delta, Ceta, Gamma, do you know where Luna Cora is right now?" asked Elder Sam suddenly.

Elder Sam is still called Cora by Luna's title. For him, no one could replace Cora's current position, even though Dave had rejected her.

The council shook their heads. No one knew Cora's current whereabouts.

"She has no family to go to, no friends either. I worry, but I also hope that the Moon Goddesses will always protect her from the dangers out there," Daniel said, holding back his tears.

Elder Sam smiled, "I feel that she is happy right now, meeting people who love her as well. Luna Cora is a good woman. I am sure the Moon Goddes will give her sound as well.

After the discussion, they returned to the house pack to work. However, they ran into Dave and Mia, who were about to leave the house pack. The two walked toward their car in the yard.

"Alpha Dave, where are you going?" Delta asked suddenly.

"Mia suddenly got very nauseous earlier, and it looks like she overate. I don't know if there is any food that is not suitable for her current condition. I will take her to the healer," Dave explained.

Beta Daniel smirked and looked away several times reluctantly to see Mia.

"She's eating what's not hers. Anything if you are greedy. The result is not good." Beta Daniel quipped.

Dave approached Beta Daniel. His breath caught in his throat as he tried to hold back his emotions.

"Don't ever think badly of Mia again. If you do, I'll kick you out like I did, Cora!" Dave said and pointed his finger at Daniel's face.

Delta and Gamma calmed Dave down. Ceta calmed Beta Daniel down and took him to the council room.

"Forgive Beta Daniel, Alpha Dave. Maybe he's just tired from all the work he's been doing lately, so he's a little sensitive, affecting his emotional state." Ceta tried to reconcile.

Dave didn't answer and just stared sarcastically at Beta Daniel. Mia immediately asked him to get in the car because she couldn't stand the nausea. Dave obeyed Mia and drove to the healer's house. It was close to the house pack.

"Beta Daniel, please! Remember what Elder Sam said? We have to try to calm Alpha Dave down now," Ceta said.

"I'm tired of that woman's behavior," Beta Daniel said.

"We all feel the same way but must act slowly and not rashly. Don't let her kick you out. Who else will defend us? Because right now, your position in this pack is important too!" Delta tried to plead.

On the way, Dave couldn't get rid of his annoyance with Daniel. He didn't seem to respect him anymore and didn't appreciate his decision. However, Beta Daniel is Dave's best friend. He was also the only person who always accompanied Dave when he lost his parents.

*

The next day, Mia and Dave were busy organizing the needs for the wedding party. It would take place in five days. Several guests came to their house to discuss the concept of the event, ranging from famous makeup artists in the city fashion designers, and wedding organizers.

Some of the Council members were also present to help organize the event. However, Beta Daniel claimed he was working in the House Pack. However, he needed to be more active to see Mia's existence, which was full of pictures.

"This party must be luxurious and festive. My partner this time is extraordinary," Dave said to the wedding planning committee.

"Leave it to us, Alpha Dave. We'll do our best. You are not wrong to choose a concubine. Very beautiful," one of the organizers explained.

"Ah no, ma'am, she's my only wife," Dave hugged Mia.

"Oh, I see, and Luna Cora?" asked one of the organizers who had also helped Dave and Cora get married.

"We divorced a long time ago," Dave lied.

"Um, can we just focus on the wedding concept?" Mia asked, trying to change the subject.

Mia was annoyed that Cora's name was on everyone's lips all the time.

"Just watch. Soon Cora will disappear as if she never existed in this pack. I will rule the Blood Moon pack, and no one will ever mention Cora's name again." Mia muttered to herself.
