Chapter Eleven

Eleanor absentmindedly played with the fish and chips her maid provided for lunch using her fork, staring at it blankly as her head was swarmed with several wry thoughts.

It was only day five. She should not be feeling this helpless yet. She has to find a way out of this hellhole somehow and she has to eat for strength to do so, she mused.

If only she could explore the palace, it would give her the chance to figure out every nook and cranny of the large edifice and strengthen her means to escape. But she would have to gain the clod's trust for that to happen, and Drakken did not seem like one to give out his trust that easily.

In fact, the man was somehow unpredictable. Beneath his sly smiles and dark smirks, one can't decipher what was truly going on through the man's head.

Eleanor heard the keys jingle at the other side of her bedroom door. It was her maid. The lady was the only person that frequently visited her room to make sure she was alright.

Or made sure she had not escaped
