Third Person's POV Harris stretches and then cracks his neck as he listens to Cyrus give him the last rundown on which team leaders are going to be active during the party tomorrow. "I'm putting both of Reid's teams between our border and theirs since they're familiar with their border. They'll be able to feel and smell if anyone is trying to cross through their territory to get to ours. I'm going to do the same with Malaki's two teams. I'll put them between our territory and theirs. That'll allow us to increase security on the north and east border. Oh, can you see if they can bring a few extra men so we could have extra men in the heart of our pack, instead of just the borders." "That's an excellent idea. I'll call Reid and Malaki as soon as we're done here. Let's see... I want increased security around the cells too, inside and out. We don't have any of their men, but you never know who's made a deal with who to get someone out. I want as many men as we can around the outside
Third Person's POV Before last night's revelation, Harris wasn't nervous about the party. It was just a party. One where everyone can see that the Thorn Pack is back, and meet their new Alpha. A party where hopefully pack members will be able to find their other half. But now it's more than that for Harris. Now he hopes that maybe he will find his mate. That thought has Harris both excited and nervous. All the little details of the party he didn't care about are suddenly important. He wants everything to be perfect and just right for his mate in case he finds them. Harris gets excited when he gets word from the front gate that guests have begun arriving. He makes his final walkthrough of the pack house and is pleased, his people outdid themselves. The pack house looks beautiful, it's decorated with flowers throughout the main level. Wanting to check on the backyard one last time, Harris walks out the back door and immediately flinches, startled by an obnoxiously loud voice that y
Third Person's POV After making sure there are no vampires anywhere near Harris's pack, Nadja smiles as he feels for her. His smile widens when he picks up on her location almost instantly and his feet leave the ground as he blinks away. As Evelyn reached for a cupcake she took a sharp breath in when she suddenly sensed someone behind her before they placed their hands over her eyes. The scent of a cold winter's day filled her nose and Evelyn smiled when she heard a familiar voice. "Guess who?" Evelyn squealed as she turned and jumped into Nadja's arms as he promptly kneeled. The scent of honeysuckle invades Nadja's nose and he smiles as he presses his nose to her curly long blond hair. Evelyn pulled back and giggled as she grabbed her dress and did a little curtsy, showing off her new dress that was white with light blue flowers all over it. It looked beautiful against her pale white skin and made her bright blue eyes shine brighter. Her long blonde hair almost looks white wi
Third Person's POV Alpha Christopher and Alpha William were nowhere near as friendly and happy to be there as Alpha Derek was. Although they weren't as rude and cocky as Brody was over the phone. Harris could tell William was amused by all the guards they had lined up in front of the packhouse. It showed on his face. The air felt different when William's and Christopher's unmated pack members walked through the party. They didn't look as eager and excited. They held their heads high and looked at everyone as though they were better than them. Derek watched nervously as several of his members nervously stepped forward when they smelled their mate in the crowd. It wasn't just his Omegas and Delta 3s that were scared, even a few Delta 1’s were biting their lips. Derek watched horrified as one of William’s men knocked his Delta 3 to the ground and began reciting the rejection. Derek's body tensed and he began to move forward when an Alpha and an Omega with dark hair and green e
Third Person's POV Cyrus stands with Brian to his right, Alpha Reid and the twins to his left, and a team of warriors lined up behind them. Cyrus wants to smirk when he sees the confusion on Alpha Brody's face when he steps forward instead of an Alpha. Brody looks Cyrus up and down before looking at Reid and then steps around the Beta. "Are you Alpha Harris?" "No, he's not, that is Alpha Reid, I am Alpha Harris' Beta, Cyrus. I am here to greet you and welcome you to our pack." Brody scuffed as he looked at Cyrus and the Beta raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry but if you would have been here in a timely fashion, then maybe my Alpha would have been here to greet you. But since you chose to show up an hour late, I'm here to greet you instead, so my Alpha doesn't have to pull himself away from his party. Now, if you'll follow me." Brody's mouth snapped shut and his jaws clenched. The Alpha's Beta grabbed his arm and squeezed it. His eyes glazed over, as he spoke to Brody. "Very well
Third Person's POV The wind is knocked from Harris' lungs as his back hits the ground and his Beta hovers over him. Cyrus raised an eyebrow when aside from the wind being knocked out of Harris, he doesn't seem phased. Instead of complaining, or getting frustrated, the damn Alpha seems like his head is somewhere else, and Cyrus knows exactly where. The Beta groans as he reaches down grabs Harris' shoulders and yanks him to his feet. Harris blinks and shakes his head, trying to clear his mind and focus on his Beta who just handled him like a ragdoll. "Man, go! Go call him, go see him, or have him come here. Just do something with him so you'll stop spacing out and thinking of him all day!" Cyrus shook his head as he walked toward his bag. "I'm sorry! I just can't stop thinking about him." "What? No, I didn't even notice." Cyrus rolled his eyes as he threw his towel over his shoulder. Harris chuckled and threw his towel at Cyrus, hitting him in the back of the head. The Beta groan
Third Person's POV Instead of being disappointed, Harris was relieved when he got back to his office and found Brody gone. Harris walked to the front door and was even further relieved when Brody's car was gone. 'Is this what he planned? He said he was packing a bag... Did he not plan on staying the night? Did he plan to come here just to tell me that?' Harris supposed it didn't matter, he didn't want to face him right now. His heart ached and he wasn't sure he would be able to look at him. This gives Harris time to wrap his head around this new side of his mate. It gives him time to come to terms with the fact that they'll never be equal in the bedroom. Somehow it feels like Harris gave up more than that. It feels like he just agreed to something much bigger than the fact that he has to take it up the ass, and will never know what it feels like to be inside someone. .... The following day Harris couldn't bring himself to call Brody. He was both humiliated that he had to agree to
Third Person's POV Harris rolled over and opened his eyes. His heart skips a beat when his eyes land on his sleeping mate. Images of last night flash through his head and Harris reaches up and touches his mark. A shiver runs down the Alpha’s spine when he touches the mark Brody placed there. A mix of emotions flows through Harris as he remembers the previous night. He was hurt by the fact that Brody didn't even prep him. It was the reason after the first few thrusts, he felt extra lubricated down there, almost as if he was submissive and leaking slick. The blood mixed with the lube left quite a mess to clean up. But then Harris remembers how tender and sweet Brody was afterwards. That thought was enough to bring a smile to Harris' face. Harris hopes to experience more of that, instead of the hard side of his mate. Harris looked at Brody and loved how peaceful he looked. He trailed his fingers along the side of his face and turned his head toward him. Harris' heart beat faster
