I kept a close eye on him as his adorable lips danced while eating the dinner I had so eagerly prepared.

I felt butterflies as I watched him lick the stains from them with the utmost gusto.

Never, not even with Ariella, have I felt so welcomed and yearned to be with anyone.

The very reason I got up early and am full of energy, smiled in the chilly shower, and went about my day with tough skin is so that I may hear his husky laugh.

So long as his presence engulfed me like a lovely cocoon, I would do extra duties and spend extra time against my wolf's will.

Additionally, Claire's absence prevented any drama of any kind. But now that she's back, I hoped that was how every day would play out.

A lot of dishes to wash, a mountain of laundry to sort, and a lot of cooking to do. With the exception of the painful physical aches that got worse every day; a vicious cycle and I was doing okay.

My eyes asked Joanna the questions that I was unable to bring myself to address with words.
