IT WAS UNUSUALLY early, and I was awake.
It was a surprise because I had never been an early bird. On weekends, I usually came down at 2 pm for breakfast. My fashion had always been irregular sleep schedules – especially since I had started living here given that I had quite a few days of nothing to do before I started working at the Downtown Diner.
