Chapter 3

As soon as Amelia Watson, Wyneth's best friend, got the call from Wyneth about the divorce, she rushed over in her car. But to her surprise, the moment she parked her car, a bunch of fancy cars, including a Pagani and a Rolls-Royce, pulled up behind her and surrounded her.

Amelia was so scared that she instinctively grabbed onto the steering wheel and trembled. Then she called Wyneth while burying her face in the steering wheel like a coward.

"W-Wyneth... Did you tell anyone else about your divorce besides me?"

Wyneth looked at the gate not far away and nodded. "My brother just happened to call me, so I mentioned it. Why do you ask?"

Amelia cautiously looked out the window and nervously licked her lips before she said, "N-Nothing... It's just that there's a lot of cars today."

Fortunately, Riverview Gardens was an upscale neighborhood with a large entrance, or else how could so many cars fit in?

After their conversation, Wyneth thought Amelia was referring to the traffic and did not think too much about it. She said, "Don't worry, take your time."

As soon as she hung up the phone, Amelia felt someone knocking on her car window. When she looked up, she saw several tall, handsome, and well-dressed men gathered outside her car. One of the men with sunglasses even gestured to her, and Amelia rolled down her window.

"Um, hi... Hello?" Amelia greeted them nervously.

The man asked, "Are you Amy? Are you here to pick up Wyn?"

Amelia was confused. 'Did he just call me Amy?' She pointed to her nose and asked, "Do you... Do you know me?"

"Of course we do. You're Wyn's bestie, Amelia Windsor."

Amelia was speechless. She wanted to correct them, 'Thank you, but my last name is Watson, not Windsor.'

However, in the presence of these powerful men, she did not dare to speak up.

"Amy, when is Wyn coming out?" the man asked.

"I just called her. She said she's almost here," Amelia replied.

"Okay, great. Hurry up and get ready."

Amelia tilted her head, confused. 'Get ready...for what?' she wondered.

Wyneth approached the entrance and noticed a bunch of cars parked outside. She could not help but wonder how the traffic managed to pile up all the way to the gate. Soon, she realized that something was off when she felt the license plate of the car closest to the entrance was familiar. When she recognized it, her lips involuntarily twitched.

She thought to herself, 'No wonder Amelia made that phone call.'

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, darkness fell over the area. The lights at the entrance gate of the neighborhood were supposed to turn on by now, but it seemed like someone had forgotten to do so because of this unexpected spectacle. As a result, the headlights of many cars were switched on as the sky grew darker.

When the light shone on Wyneth, she instinctively closed her eyes. Her skin appeared as fair as snow in the light.

Before leaving Hayden's house, she had changed into a stunning red off-the-shoulder dress that flowed down to her ankles. Her waist-length hair was loosely pinned up, exposing her graceful swan-like neck. The contrast between her snowy white skin and the red dress was simply breathtaking.

Matilda, who was already back in the car, also caught a glimpse of the scene. But from her angle, she could only see the back of the person. She narrowed her eyes, and just as she started to feel a sense of familiarity, the driver spoke up, "Madam, why does that lady look so much like Young Madam?"

Matilda thought to herself, 'Even the driver notices the resemblance?'

"Wyn! Look up!"

Wyneth heard her fourth brother's voice and slowly raised her head. The bright light shining on her disappeared, and she opened her eyes.

BANG!

Suddenly, the dark sky burst into countless fireworks, one after another, blooming in the night sky. And there was only one color, the red that Wyneth loved the most.

The fireworks were bright, warm, and fiery.

Wyneth had not seen such beautiful fireworks in years, not since she married into the Hamilton family. Every festival, she had stayed indoors to take care of Hayden, celebrating with him quietly.

Cars were somehow lined up on both sides, and a bunch of people had shown up, both men and women holding bouquets of fiery red roses. A long red carpet was laid out in front of Wyneth, and at the end were several tall and handsome men, with a thin figure trembling in the middle. She saw her friend Amelia there, shaking uncontrollably.

Wyneth was touched and amused by the sight. She never expected her brothers to show up in such a grand fashion to pick her up. Back when she wanted to marry Hayden, they had been dead-set against it and did everything they could to prevent the marriage from happening. They just could not accept her marrying a patient in a vegetative state. But Wyneth had made up her mind and left resolutely.

She had thought the divorce would be a quiet affair, but clearly, her brothers had other plans.

Wyneth's eyes grew misty. As she walked forward, her clear tears fell, and her vision became clear again. She called out to each of her brothers, "Bruce, Caleb, Dean, Elon, Finn, what brings you all here?"

The talkative Dean grinned and replied, "Silly girl, of course we came to take you home!"

Then he nudged the bespectacled man with the gold-rimmed glasses beside him and said, "Elon, call and find out where Andrew is. Why the hell hasn't his plane arrived yet?"

The bespectacled man flashed a smile and smoothly raised his glasses.

"I just spoke to him. He's en route here by helicopter."

"Damn, he's really flying a helicopter here? He could've told me, and I would've done the same!"

Amelia quivered as she found herself stuck between six men, appearing fragile and powerless. She looked over to Wyneth and reached out her hand. Wyneth grasped her fingers and pulled her out.

Wyneth gently wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and whispered, "Guys, your grand fashion has scared my sweetie."

Amelia, the "sweetie," held onto Wyneth's arm tightly.

Dean flashed a reassuring smile at Amelia and said, "Don't worry, Amy. We're not bad people."

Amelia could help but fixate on the group of five attractive men with diverse demeanors standing before her, feeling overwhelmed and on the verge of screaming. Besides Dean, who she had met once before, she only recognized one of them.

The man was dressed head-to-toe in black, sporting a duckbill cap, black sunglasses, and a black mask. Despite his efforts to remain incognito, she immediately recognized him as Bruce Spencer — the youngest and hottest award-winning lead actor in the industry.

He was incredibly popular. His latest movie premiered and within an hour, it had already raked in over one billion dollars in pre-sale box office. Every year, the drama series he starred in would be the highest-rated and most well-received show. People would have a hard time moving around at events where he made an appearance. He had been in the industry for a decade and had produced exceptional works each year.

He was not just handsome but also aloof, his acting skills were top-notch, and he kept his private life clean with no dating rumors or scandals. No wonder he was hailed as the fan-reaper in the entertainment industry.

He had different types of fans — some saw him as the perfect boyfriend, some as the ideal husband, while others simply adored his work or were drawn to his appearance. He had a fan base that covered all bases.

Amelia was one of those fans who thought he was the perfect boyfriend. The sight of him left her speechless with excitement. She knew Wyneth's fourth brother was wealthy, but she had no idea that there were so many more brothers and that they were all so affluent. And to her surprise, Bruce Spencer was one of Wyneth's brothers.

The men in front of her were obviously powerful and influential figures, judging from the value of their cars parked outside. There was even one who was on his way here in a helicopter.

Amelia could not help but think, 'Wyneth comes from this kind of family background...' The realization left her feeling dizzy and overwhelmed.
