As I sat by Lily's bedside in the hospital room, a wave of relief washed over me. Seeing her lying there, but awake and seemingly alright, was a stark contrast to the worst-case scenarios my mind had been conjuring up since I got the call about her accident. I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief, my shoulders easing from the tension they had been carrying since rushing to the hospital.

"Lily," I began, my voice filled with a mixture of gratitude and concern, "I'm just so glad you're okay. When they called me, I was terrified."

Lily managed a weak smile, her eyes still reflecting the trauma of the accident. "I'm sorry I scared you, Noah. I didn't mean to."

I shook my head, reaching out to gently take her hand in mine. "Don't apologize. I'm just grateful you're safe."
