Chapter 7

Rodrigo's POV

When I saw Marcello walking behind Isabella, a smile formed on my lips as I stared at her just thinking about what she said to me in the dressing room. With the manner Marcello walked very close to her, I had a feeling she attempted to run away and he caught her. He had a gun held very close to her but no one knew about that. With a smile plastered on her face, anyone would assume that she was happily walking down the aisle to meet her Prince Charming.

This wedding was every socialite's dream but Isabella was not one of those women, she wanted nothing more than to escape from this world that I was dragging her into. But I will never let her go, she was my woman and I want to spend the rest of this year with her by my side. The first time I discovered that Issac had a daughter, I never wanted to meet her till I saw her portrait in his living room, Right there I decided that she was going to be the collateral if Isaac found it impossible to meet up with the deal that he signed.

When Isaac met me, I knew he would turn out to be just like the others who I loaned money to buy we're unable to pay back. The only thing was that I found no interest in them as I did with Isaac. It must be because of Isabella, otherwise I would have had Marcello take care of it by his daughter working in my clubs or being used as a slave by my men. I needed a lot of women around to pleasure them and Marcello has been doing a good job until recently when Jennifer was hired. Now I couldn't tell what exactly he was doing to those women, he seems to be lenient and that's not how we operate. There was no room for love, it made one weak and the Mafia of Valentino Family are not weak.

As the word love crossed my mind, my gaze fell on Isabella, She locked eyes with me and I smirked, she was beautiful. Maybe more beautiful than anyone but that was all she was ever going to be. I had no interest in falling for her considering what that word did to me. I dropped my gaze on her and locked eyes with my grandmother, Alicia, She must be proud of me for taking this step and would want for  Isabella and I to come over for dinner after our honeymoon. If it wasn't for Alicia, I  wouldn't be planning a trip with Issabella across the city as if we were hopelessly in love with each other. I know for a certainty that she wants nothing to do with me and doesn't want to be here more than anyone else.

"Your overpriced smile is starting to be noticeable" I whispered to her ear as she closed in on me

"You should be grateful that I gave you my best considering the stunt you pulled"

"My bad" I know she was insnuating about the fact that Marcello shot a gun very close to her while one of my men was holding her father Isaac on gun point. There was no way she was getting away from me, I already knew about her plan before she even voiced it out.

"You had a gun to his head"

"You are lucky is not loaded otherwise I would have blown his brains out, We had a deal" I whispered into her ear while keeping up with the act, a perfect smile cast on my face as my eyes locks together with some of my guests. Everyone was gathered to watch the most dangerous Mafia getting married, they must assume it was a perfect marriage and Isabella was the perfect bride who captured my heart. The truth is no one can capture my heart, no one anyone after her. No one has done it in many years and Isabella was not going to be different. She was just a girl, pretty, yes. That's all she ever going to be.

"I never had any deal with you, I was threatened into staying here"

"Which would you want? Would you rather work as a whore, I won't mind watching those men screw your brains out" I stated as I gently held her jaw.

"Let's just get married" She withdrew her face away from me and looked forward.

"That's it, be a good kitten and we won't have a problem, Who knows, I might even grant a wish for you"

"I want nothing from you"

Anger seeped through me as the words left her mouth and so I was forced to grab her arm tightly which thankfully goes unnoticed by my guest.

"I wasn't asking you what you wanted"

She winced but didn't bother to fight me so I tightened my grip around her arm aware that I was going to leave a scar on her arm but I didn't care at that moment. I was notorious for being ruthless but this woman brought out the worst in me so I couldn't just be nice to her, I was either cruel or harsh to her.

"I'm sorry" She whispered. A spur of wet heat was already forming in her eyes pushing me to quickly loosen my grip around her. I wouldn't want our wedding to into an emotional banquet where her emotions streamed like a river.

"Let's just get this over and done with"

Isabella didn't bother to say another word to me nor glance my way throughout the wedding, her face was stoic as her eyes held no life when she looked at me yet when she stared at our Guest and my family, the overpriced smile glues to her face. She was good at acting and I couldn't be proud of her as we sailed off to our honeymoon but there was nothing honey about this little vacation we were about to have as Isabella had chosen to remain silent and hadn't bothered to say a word.

"This is going to be our bedroom for tonight" I stated as we stepped into our room. My Grandmother, Alicia was the one who made the arrangements and decorated the room with candles and flowers that made me remember her.

"Our room?" She blinked as she took off her heels. "There is no our room, I married you isn't it? Now watch as I make sure that you regret every decision you made tonight" she stated attempting to walk away when I pulled out the gun and fired it at the door which left her in utter shock as she stared at me, trembling.
