Chapter 1

Welcoming the human.

"This is your own fault, Haelyn."

"Why me? I just want to enter their world!"

"Fuck! What if she won't wake up?!"

I creased my brows because of the noise. 

"Mommy naman ang ingay!" sigaw ko at tumagilid. Kinapa ko ang kama ko nang maramdamang wala akong mga unan at nakahiga lamang ako sa kahoy.

I opened my eyes and confusion filled my mind as I saw some wings, pearls, beautiful dresses and some weird things.

Napatayo ako nang may nakita akong dalawang babae. The one has wings while the one doesn't have. Nataranta ako nang naalala kong na-aksidente nga pala ako kanina. I stood up and surveyed my whole body, but I can't even see any wound. I jumped twice to examine my strength, pero sobrang lakas ko pa rin. 

What the hell happened?

I shifted my gaze to them. They are just looking at me, smiling awkwardly. Damn, I can't deny that they have the beauty of Goddesses.

"H-Hi, human," the one with brown hair spoke.

"I am Haelyn, and this is my bestfriend, Hannelle." She pointed to the girl who has gray hair and wings. "And I am Mermaid. Half-human, Half-fish while Hannelle is Siren, half-human half-bird," pagpapakilala nito.

Half what? Ano raw? 

Teka. Nagbibiro ba sila? 

"Oh, is she awake already?" 

Natuon ang pansin ko sa babaeng kakapasok lang. Napasigaw ako sa gulat dahil sa mukha nito, she is really beautiful with her white hair for goddamn sake but she has elf's ear! 

"Chill, you're really shocked," she chuckled. "I'm Alexa. Half-human, half-elf." And she sipped on her drink. 

Kinusot ko mga mata ko at sinampal sarili ko. Is this really happening? Halos maiyak na ako. Nababaliw na ba ako? Nasaan ako?

"Can someone please explain what's happening?" I asked in tears. Because I am so clueless! 

Ano ba 'tong nangyayari sa akin? Naiiyak na ako. Nananaginip ba ako o binabangungot?

Pinaupo nila ako at kinwento ang nangyari. I found out that they were about to went above-world when I crashed into their car. Nagkabunggoan kami at nakita nila akong tumilapon sa loob ng magic hole na binuksan nila kaya kaagad nila akong tinulongan at dinala sa kwarto nilang 'to. I was sleeping for the whole day. They used some kind of magic, para mapagaling ako kaagad. They explained to me that this is a different world than mine. This is the underworld wherein I can see half-breeds and mystical powers. It was totally mind-blowing when I heard it. Nakanga-nga lang ako habang pinapaliwanag nila ang nangyayare.

"Hindi na talaga ako makakalabas dito?" I asked. 

They bowed down their head and shrugged.

"We don't think so, all hedges are now locked up. Tomorrow is our first day in Academy, and there is really no turning back here," Hannelle answered.

"I'm so sorry Davina, this is my fault. Kung hindi lang sana ako nag-aya sa dalawang 'to baka hindi pa nabuksan ang magic-hole at napasok ka," Haelyn said in a soft voice. 

I held her hand and titled her chin. "No, it's okay. Don't blame yourself," I sincerely said.

Ngumiti ito kaya napangiti na lang ako. What I've noticed from these three beautiful ladies is their different attitudes. Haelyn being a soft one, Hannelle is fierce, and Alexa is kinda sassy, but they are all kind. They treated me like I'm in their circle group of friends, which is kinda good dahil hindi nila ako sinaktan at magaan loob ko sa kanila. Hindi ko lang alam kung mababait din 'yong iba. I don't have any idea what will happen next so I am a little bit scared.

Napag-alaman ko kasi na Academy pala ito kung saan hahasaain nila ang skills ng mga half-bloods. They have their own dorms pagka-enroll mo pa lang dito. Bihira lang daw may makapasok dito because some were not given the chance to step in in this Academy, especially if the superhead didn't see your potential? Wala ka talagang chance. Kaya bago ka makatapak sa academing ito ay kailangan mo munang malaman 'yong mga basic skills mo as half-breeds. 

And now, naligaw ako dito. I am supposed to go in my dream school, not here.

"Do you know how to swim?" Haelyn asked and sat down on my bed. 

It's already 8 in the evening and they gave me space. Mabuti na lang at apat ang kama dito sa loob ng dorm nila kaya mayroong espasyo para sa akin. Uuwi naman ako bukas sa ayaw at sa gusto nila. I am not belong here, I am a human. I don't have any mystical powers. Paano ako makaka-survive dito? Wala akong skills na maipagmamalaki at maipakita.

"Hey, do you know how to swim?" She repeated.

"Yeah, why?" I answered. 

She handed me the paper bag and smiled. "Here, take this for now," she spoke. 

Kunot noo kong kinuha ang binigay nito. I opened it right away and stunned because of what I see. Inilabas ko sa bag at tinignan ito nang kabuuoan.

It is a-dazzle azure-blue tail, with perfect curve and pretty fish's skin. Wow. Just wow. 

"Do you like it?"  Napatango ako dahil sobrang ganda.

"That's my tail's uniform. I made that one because of boredom. Alam mo naman, gusto ko ma-try 'yong ibang kulay so I made it blue," she explained.

"Pero para saan 'to?" I asked, still staring at the tail.

"Well, since you're here in this academy and you're not really a hybrid. You have to pretend that you're half-mermaid." She winked. 

"M-mermaid?" I stuttered.

Tumawa ito at tumayo. "Oo nga, bawal kaya dito 'yong purong tao. You will be punished if they find out. Lalo na 'yong 12 powerful sons and daughters of greek gods and goddesses." 

I furrowed my brows. "Who are they?" 

Umupo ulit ito sa tabi ko at nilibot ang tingin sa dorm. Wala sila Hannelle at Alexa dahil kumuha sila ng hapunan namin sa cafeteria. Bukas na lang daw ako magpapakita dahil hindi pa ako totally enrolled. As if naman magtatagal ako dito. Uuwi talaga ako.

"12 powerful half-bloods. Do you know the 12 greek gods and goddesses in Mount Olympus? They are the son and daughter of them! Sila 'yong mag pinakamataas na posisyon sa Academy na 'to,” she exclaimed.

"Basta, ituturo ko sila bukas sa'yo. But I want you to remind these two gods," she whispered.

"The most powerful one is Zale Javaid. He is the son of Poseidon! And the next one is Xave, the son of Hades. Don't ever mess up with them! Okay? They are dangerous," bulong nito.

Sakto rin na dumating sina Hannelle at Alexa kaya napatayo kaming dalawa. 

"Oh, gulat na gulat?" natatawang tanong ni Alexa. 

"Come here you both, kain na tayo. Maaga pa kaya tayo!" 

Lumapit na kami sa munting mesa nito at kumain kaagad. It was made with wood as well as the chairs. Actually the dorm is just like the condos in Manila, but the only different is they don't have TV, aircon, even a fan, or any electronic things. But they have CR which is really great. Pero infairness din kasi hindi mainit. The ambiance is totally cool. Kahit saan ka mag-selfie, maganda 'yong background. 

"So, this is our first time eating inside the dorm," Hannelle said. 

"We have our own cafeteria where we order or request the food we love to eat. Tomorrow, just stay behind us. Don't. Ever. Leave. Us." 

Tumango lang ako kay Hannelle dahil mukhang kakainin niya ako. Masyado pa naman nakakatakot ang tingin niya. She has this high spirit 'e.

"Yes, little Davina, just stay right beside us the whole time tomorrow. Hindi pa natin alam kung mahahalata ka." 

Nang natapos na kami kumain ay kaagad akong humiga sa kama. Binigyan nila ako ng bag at gagamitin bukas. 

They even collected some of their stuff just for me to have one. Tanggap lang ako nang tanggap kasi wala naman akong magawa. Wala rin naman akong pakialam kasi tatakas naman ako dito. Babalikan ko bukas kung saan ako nasalpok.

Ilang minuto pa lamang ay nagpaalam na sila magpahinga dahil sa sobrang excited bukas. Habang ako ay nagdaan na ang ilang oras, hindi pa rin makatulog. 

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako bago pumikit ulit at pilitin makatulog, hanggang ngayong araw lang ako dito. Gagawin ko lahat para makabalik sa mundo ko.
