I reached home at around 6:10 pm. I was in no mood to face my sister because I knew I would be ridiculed when I tell her the blind date didn't go well.
I entered the house and headed for the stairs.
"Hey, back already?"
It wasn't my sister who spoke, it was Jonathan.
"Yeah," I answered.
"I take it your little date wasn't to your liking."
"Not really, he was just not what I pictured when Amelia described him, I mean he was... but wasn't if you get my meaning," I tried to explain.
"Not really. Why don't you elaborate." Jon spoke, looking confused.
"Well, he was perfect. Tall, very well built, very, very good looking, and well put together. He even smelled amazing."
"Then what was the problem?" Jon shrugged.
"Amelia didn't tell me he was not African American."
"So?" Jon scoffed.
"Jon he was white and I had never dated a white man before, I don't think I want to." I snickered. Jon wasn't laughing. I immediately sensed that he was offended. "Well I mean no offense to you or any other white guy but I prefer my coffee black."
"None taken, and besides I prefer my coffee black too," he smugly declared as Dani walked in.
I rolled my eyes but smiled.
"Hey sis how was your date?" Dani inquired.
"Not worth talking about," I answered ascending the stairs.
"Hey Dee," Jon called to me causing me to turn around.
"Remember black coffee is great, but if you add a little cream to it, it may be life-changing, don't knock it til you've tried it," He smirked while hugging my sister.
"Ok Jon, I'll bear that in mind," I giggled as I reached the top of the stairs.
I went into my bedroom and proceeded straight to bed, thinking about ways I could kill Amelia for placing me in that awkward situation.
**********
My alarm went off and I jumped out of bed. I quickly showered and got ready for work.
As I reached downstairs I heard talking.
Jonathan was on his phone and Danielle was fixing breakfast."Good morning," I greeted.
"Morning Dee," Jonathan said while still on the phone.
"Need a plate before you go sis?" Asked Dani.
"Yeah, thanks."
I started listening to Jon on the phone.
"Can't wait for you to meet her bro, she's just the best thing that's ever happened to me," he stated.
So he was talking to his brother.
"Ok big brother, I'll see you in two days."
Jonathan's brother was a Navy seal and he had been away for quite a long time on a mission.
I think Jonathan said he was doing his last mission or something of the sort. He was gonna come home and help Jon run the business their family owned.
Jon loved his big brother and spoke highly of him. I only saw his picture once and he was wearing his uniform with all sorts of equipment and gadgets on him. I didn't get to see his face clearly. But he was from the same gene pool as Jon, so I knew he wouldn't be hard on the eyes.
Jon hung up his phone as I polished off the last of my breakfast.
"So Mike will be here the day after tomorrow and I'll have to go pick him up." Jon sounded so excited.
"Yay, finally!" squealed Dani.
"Yeah, finally we'll get to meet your beloved brother." I smiled while getting ready to leave.
"Thanks for the breakfast sis. Bye Jon, you both enjoy your day." I kissed my sister on the cheek and head out.
********
I arrived at work at exactly 8:30 am. As I entered my office I rang Amelia.
"Get in here now," I ordered into the receiver.
Amelia scampered into my office confused. "Is everything alright boss?"
"No Amelia, why didn't you tell me the guy is white?"
Amelia furrowed her brows. "What's the big deal? He's a great guy."
I sighed "Amelia I've never dated a white guy before and I never will."
"Seriously boss?"
"Yeah, seriously," I mocked her. "That's my sister's thing, not mine. I'm glad you tried to hook me up though. You get an A for effort." I smiled.
"So I take it you won't be stuffing that honey pot of yours with white chocolate anytime soon huh?"
"No!" I blurted at her question. "No! No white or dark chocolate, just focusing on my work."
"As usual boss." Amelia rolled her eyes. "Boss I swear cobwebs will be covering your coochie if you don't put it to use."
"Out!" I pointed to the door and laughed at her crazy comment. She then pouts and leaves.
Maybe she was right. I had seen a movie once where a woman started to grow cobwebs in her little area because she was untouched for months by her husband__ Months__damn but I was going on one year and five months.
I had not been with anyone since my ex Victor and I broke up. I wasn't in love with Victor but I needed stability. I thought he could give me that, but boy was I wrong.
All he gave me were lies and a facade. He only wanted what I have. Victor was a good-for-nothing con artist and cheater. Good thing I found out before he could sink his nasty claws into me. I'm glad the day I said good riddance.
I always bounced back. My work was my happy place and I stayed in that headspace until this day. But a girl gets lonely sometimes. A vibrator could only do so much.
I missed the strength of a man's arms wrapped around me, his tongue all over me, not to mention his manhood__damn.
I think it was high time I got back on that horse.
MICHAEL'S POVI arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes early and got a table. Agreeing to this blind date was something out of the norm for me. When Amelia told me about her hot, educated, ambitious boss I knew I should give it a shot.Being a seal made it hard to keep a woman. I missed being with a woman, someone to call my own. We occasionally went to places where we would meet hot and horny girls eager to fuck or even just suck a seal's cock. I never fucked any of them, only got my dick blown, and then I would call it a night. I realized I needed more than just one-night stands. So I decided when I returned home I would take out Amelia's boss. Amelia didn't tell me many details, only that her name was Dionnah. She was 26, an accountant, and African American.I thought the name Dionnah sounded familiar but I didn't question Amelia about it.I didn't know if I should trust Amelia to set me up on a date. What if this chick was hideous or even a man pretending to be a woman? I love Ameli
DIONNAH'S POVI got out of bed at 8. Even though it was a Saturday I didn't like sleeping in. I was always a morning person. Thinking about the day ahead and the new possibilities to do great always got me going.I loved the smell of the crisp morning air and the smell of Danielle's early morning breakfasts that I looked forward to.The only thing I had on my mind was relaxing and spending my day by the pool. I got up and fished out a red and yellow polka dot bikini before heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a quick shower.I put on shorts and a tank top then headed downstairs. Upon entering the living room I noticed it was empty. I strolled to the kitchen to find it empty also. A note was sitting on the counter.'Morning Dee didn't want to wake you. Jon and I are gone to pick up his brother. Be back in a couple of hours. XOXO Dani.I sighed, "So much for an early breakfast."I decided to make an egg omelet with toast. I was wavering between having orange juice or mimos
If I had a weak heart, I would be dead. I could die of fright and no one would know why, except for the tall, built, handsome, oh so sexy man standing in front of me. While on our date, I didn't get the chance to appreciate how good-looking he truly was.He wore a Navy-blue T-shirt that hugged his strong, toned torso, his charcoal-coloured jeans pants covered his long-toned legs that could run a hundred marathons without buckling and caving in underneath him. His outfit was completed with sneakers that matched the colour of his jeans. I could see the ink that covered his right arm. It was from his wrist leading up to the length of his arm and disappearing under the sleeve of his shirt. I could make out some of the images. I saw a rose with a name scribbled on the stem, Jesus Christ with his hands clasped, and some teardrops flowing from his eyes. I never thought about tattoos being sexy, but looking at his, I got an uneasy feeling in my stomach. My eyes lingered on his arms, appre
His eyes were like two laser beams burning into my soul. I couldn't take it anymore. “What?” I inquired. He just stood there still, assessing me, scanning me with those damn eyes of his and then he spoke. “Why did you run out on our date?” He asked.“Why didn't you tell them we've met before?” I countered.“Would you rather I did?”“Actually, no,” I blurted. “It was my first blind date, and I wasn't expecting someone like you.”“Someone like me?” He asked with eyebrows raised.“You know, Amelia didn't tell me you were white, and that threw me off. I mean, I've never dated a white guy before. I, much rather prefer men of the same colour as me,” I said, hoping I didn't sound like a bitch.“Oh, now I see. Are you prejudiced?”“Of course not. My sister's fiancé is white, and he's remarkable. It's just not my preference.”“OK I get it,” He smiled.“So, have you ever been with a black girl? – I mean, dated a black girl,” I corrected.“I date all different types of women of all shades, colo
The rest of the weekend flew by quickly. I stayed in my room mostly, so I could finish up some documents on my computer. The fashion show was only a few months away, and I needed to be on track with everything. When I woke up Monday, I felt refreshed. I got up to take a shower when I heard movements in the hallway. I placed my ear on the door and I listened. My heart jumped when I heard a small knock on the door. I bit my bottom lip in order for me not to scream, and then I waited and heard feet shuffling away. I took a deep breath before I opened the door. My eyes landed on the trinkets down below and my breath caught in my chest. There was a light-brown teddy bear wearing a red bow. It was almost as tall as me. A box of chocolates lay perfectly in a heart-shaped box next to a well-put-together bouquet of Lilacs. There was a huge white box with a red bow. I looked up and down the hallway to see if I saw anybody, but I didn't.I hurriedly moved the items inside. I flung the bear on my
MICHAEL'S POV Fifty-six hours, twenty-two minutes, and twelve seconds. That's how much time had passed since Dionnah and I shared the most exhilarating kiss. 13, 14, 15. I kept counting the second hand on the clock that was sitting on the nightstand. Fifty-six hours, twenty-two minutes, and eighteen seconds. That's how long since I've seen Dionnah. Was she avoiding me? Did she enjoy the kiss? Now I felt guilty because over the years I've kissed many women and ghosted them after. Maybe this was my retribution. I went up to her room door a couple of times contemplating whether or not I should knock, but I was told by Dani that Dionnah was engrossed in her fashion show project. My heart stung with heaviness as I longed to see her face. Was this really how a woman felt after a man hit it and quit it? If so, then I feel awful because I'd done this to so many women. I didn't have all the time in the world to make a tally of how many hearts I left in shambles. It was Sunday night, and the
DIONNAH'S POV I was just sitting there, gritting my teeth and staring daggers at the three people making fun of my blind date fiasco the other night. So, what if I ran away because the man was white? I just didn't date them and that was that. “Haha haha!” Dani threw her head back, giggling like a lunatic after she recited something funny at my expense, again. Her luscious lips, which were similar to mine, trembled as she belted out the most unladylike laugh I had ever heard her give. I was angry at her for outing me and letting everyone know I don't normally dress like this. I watched through squinted eyes as Jon wiped his soon-to-be wife's mouth. She laughed so hard that she began to drool. “And then I said, Dee, Don't knock it till you've tried it," Jonny added, sending Dani into another fit of laughter. She threw herself into Jonny's arms. Both of them held each other as they laughed their asses off. Those two, Dani and Jonny, were like two peas in a pod. A part of my insid
M.I.K.E.“Good afternoon, Mrs. Miller, this is Dionnah Delaney from Delaney Designs. I am calling to confirm our meeting next Tuesday. Looking forward to doing business with you." Dionnah sat at her desk making business calls, trying to get that hot piece of work out of her head. She couldn't stand their heated encounters but yet, she secretly desired them. The adrenaline rush and the heat he emitted when he got deeply agitated made Dionnah more turned on than ever. Maybe she was a little crazy, she thought. This behaviour was a little toxic. “Hmm," she hummed attentively while she listened to her potential client on the other end of the receiver. M.I.K.E.Y.“Yes, Mrs. Miller, we do offer top-notch service and I guarantee satisfaction, if not, you get 50 percent of your money back." M.I.C.H.A.E.L.“I hope so, too. Thank you for considering Delaney Designs. Have a lovely day," Dionnah chimed in her best customer service voice as she ended the call. She wanted to ensure she gave nothi
