Chapter Fourteen

After they informed me of the pack leader's idea, I was restless and planning my rescue.

I will have to succeed this time around.

This would have to be my last attempt at escaping.

I distanced myself from him so that I wouldn't get confused by my feelings for him.

I think he noticed it because he had been watching my movement.

I was surprised one day to see that he had bought me a hairband.

He said it was a gift that I should never take off.

I probably should have asked him why he asked not to take it off, but there was no need. I will listen to him because I won't be here for long.

I will miss him too.

It is also the first time someone has given me a gift, and I will cherish it.

The day he gave it to me, I put it on my head, and since that day, I started wearing it without taking it off.

Our sleeping position did not change at all, despite all this.

Sometimes he will stay awake, watching me till dawn.
