Chapter 13

Jake and Fay did not go out the entire day, they were indoors. Jake reported ill, not that he was ill, he wanted to spend a little time with Fay. They did nothing apart from lying in bed, talking. Fay was telling Jake about the first time he had his transformation and Jake was telling him stories about the pack. It was serene. They spoke until night came.

The boys sat on the bed, their backs to each other. Fay was facing the bed and Jake was facing the window, looking at the sky and waiting for the full moon. They sat in silence and none of them spoke to the other but their hearts spoke louder. They had grown fond of each other in the short time they met. They were two lonely souls and parting was hard.

Fay didn't want to go. He wanted to stay and look for his real parents, his biological parents. Even if he did not find them, he was positive that the ruler would never kick him out. He just did not want to go back to people who acted all scared around him, he felt like an outcast arou
