As we set up for the journey ahead, I was filled with different emotions, I felt sad that the once happy family I thought I had with Amelia and the rest was messed with, I felt very bitter and full of spite for whoever it was that killed Amelia and put a dent on our once happy family. The next morning came and I introduced Carissa to the rest of the pack with a brief summary of how we found her and immediately, Rosetta moved to Carissa’s side and started muttering something I couldn’t hear excitedly in her ears, at first Carissa was slow to respond but she slowly warmed up to her.Devin greeted her warmly with a hug and Harry followed suit with sleep in his eyes. “Devin and Harry, you guys should start sleeping less, Carissa was screaming loudly last night and you didn’t flinch” I scolded gently. After four days of mindless journeying, we came to a large clearing and immediately I fell in love with the space, we are definitely setting base here. It just feels right.As I glanced around, a cool breeze blew across my face and whispered serenity in my ears.I smiled with contentment, apparently Mich and the guys thought of the same thing as they shared a look“I think we’ve come to the end of our journey as we’ll be setting base here” I announced and shouts and cheers erupted from everyone . I smiled as I sat down on a tree stump to stretch my legs. I silently watched as everyone laughed and related as family.“We can rest today, when it’s tomorrow we start building. “Tomorrow, we begin our revenge mission. I don’t know what it is with me waking up to the excited chatter of the birds,there’s something soothing and hopeful about that sound. I was awake but my eyes remained close to enjoy the bliss in the sound of nature around me.I can hear some quiet whispers above my head and wondered who those voices belong to, what were they talking about?“Do you think we should wake her now; she looks so peaceful” I smiled; I still do not open my eyes; I was feeling quite lazy that morning.Wait, is that rain already? I started on the journey back home by dusk in tears and a heavy heart, when Derrick announced me as his mate, I was so excited and I felt everything was just right and nothing could ever go wrong.
