Letting go

Helena’s POV..

"Who the hell is Savannah?" she questioned trying really hard to hide her hurt feelings.

Not once but twice!

Her heart felt like someone was slowly squeezing it and tears threatened to form. Up until now, she had not realized just how much she liked him, how much she wanted to be a part of his life and how important it was for him not to think about other women.

'This is crazy!' she thought to herself, turning away from him and wiping away an escaped tear.

Savannah must be his girlfriend or worse, his wife. He must love her a lot for him to call out her name twice without even realizing it. She had brushed off the first time as an error in speech, people did that sometimes but when he said it again, it brought unexpected pain and heartache.

"What am I looking at? " he asked, circling one arm around her shoulders and leaning against her.

'He shouldn't be doing this to Savannah!' alarm bells rang in her head and she brushed his arm off, taking a step away from him
