I saw Arthur step towards Cole, his hands balled into fists by his side. I could tell that he was angry, but when I looked at Cole, who had just got back to his feet once again, his eyes blazing with anger as he too balled his fists, his expression cold and merciless as if getting ready to attack, I knew I had to intervene.
I rushed forward, hugging him from behind, grabbing onto Arthur with both my hands as I stopped him from doing something stupid. "Stop! Please!"
My voice seemed to cut him out of his haze as he stilled, before turning towards me slowly, his hands cupping my cheeks gently as his eyes searched my face, my body, to see if everything was alright.
