I try to put my mind at ease as I try to understand what this Liam man in front of me is saying…

"I don't understand," I shake my head.

Clearly he wants me to be his wife, I heard that part, he says it's the only way I can help him with the mayor's fabricated death he conveyed, but still, I don't get it.

Like I said, I can help with anything at all. Anything aside drugs and being dead, but why his wife?

How does the mayor being dead get to do with me being a freaking wife.

Liam stares at me for a very long time, the kind of look that shows you want to snap the person's head off their neck.

He has already explained so much, but doesn't want to go into more details, and honestly I don't want him to tell me more, because the more I know, the more it endangers my life.

I just want to go home.
